He suddenly stood up and looked at the over cast gloominess outside, "Turn out the lights!" he yelled as he began to run towards the back of the massive synagogue.
"You want us to do what?" Heartman asked as he watched him running towards the back.
"Get rid of all the lights!" he said and ran out. He took a right and ran up the stairs three Flights. He stopped at the top. HE saw the high balcony and took a deep breath. He tightened his suit and walked towards the window which was blackened. He opened his eyes and saw a glow in the dark painting of a swastika. He placed his hand over his mouth, "Oh god." he said and turned away.
"What do you see!" a voice from the back called out from the stairs.
"We have a swastika!"
"The hell?" the voice yelled and looked out the window. Across the main lobby was a gigantic swastika. It was neon green and right side up, not tilted, and without a circle around it, "Oh my god! We have a
fucking Nazi on our hands!"
*FLASH*
"Here is a picture of the Swastika. Pass it around." Chief Drason said handing out sheets of papers.
Everybody in the room took one and passed it on. When it came to Jack he refused and continued to study. It is now obvious of who the killer is. An America Nazi. Yes, they are still around. And they are in America. Very few, but they are here."
Jack raised his hand and the chief pointed at him, "Detective Pullman?"
"This is a very good work, but there is something which bothers me."
"And that would be?"
"The Swastika. Its not a Nazi symbol."
"What are you talking about?"
"The swastika in the picture is Buddhist. It stood for Presperity and well being. The continuation of life.
Much like the Amuroburos. The Alcatrists thought it stood for everything. The secret to life. How it movesin circles.
"What makes you say its not Nazi?" The chief asked sitting down.
Jack stood up and walked to the board and drew a Swastica on the board. It is not all Buddhist, but only one of the factions. I do not know though. He flipped back a page and then looked at the board, "In world war two Hitler took the Swastica and tilted it," he said redrawing the symbol, "It symbolized the notion of, "For the people." Then he put a circle aroudn it which stood for eternity. Presperity for the people eternaly. And the red, just simply stood for their socialist movement." He pointed the chalk back at the origional, "This, is Buddhist. Which makes more sence."
"I don't follow." Drason said, "What does this prove? How does it make sence?"
"A christian priest, placed in a non christian church. Two rivals. Then he added yet another rival,which is miscellaneous, Buddhist. I did a backgroudn check on the priest, and he was Catholic. Father Johnathan Frascis. I also leared that a call was placed in on the disapearance of Rabbi Joseph Bonawitz."
"So, where is the Rabbi?" Heartman asked.
"All I know is that Father Franscis was the priest at St. Peter Catholic Church on 1232 Anderson West..."
"Which could mean that..." Heartman stopped in the middle of his sentance as if a light was suddenly
turned on.
The others looked at each other in silence as they all
began to think the same thing...
