A HURRICANE BLOWS THROUGH IT...
In the summer of 1992, Suncoast Chorus fell victim to Hurricane Andrew. Left with no rehearsal home and with nearly half the membership without shelter , Suncoast chorus met with another Sweet Adelines chapter in Broward County.
Eventually, the two choruses merged in 1993 to form Goldcoast Chorus.
In the Regional competition of 1994, this newly chartered chorus won its Regional title and competed at the 1995 New Orleans SAI International competition.
In 1999, Goldcoast Chorus represented Region 9 in Atlanta's International competition.
Goldcoast rehearses every Tuesday night, at 7:30PM.
Rehearsals are held at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 11295 SW 57th Ave., Pinecrest, FL 33156
Goldcoast has members from 3 counties : Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach.

Goldcoast, combined with the Miamians SPEBSQSA chorus, has performed as Florida Gold in annual shows and performances. Our shows have been hosted by such venues as Parker Playhouse, Barry University, Bailey Hall (Nova), and the North Miami Beach Performing Arts Center. We have also performed for the Mariners Hospital Benefits at Plantation Key, the Deering Estate rededication, with the Boca Pops Symphony Orchestra, as well as at the "Christmas on Las Olas", MetroZoo Wild Nights, Worth Ave.(WPB/Lake Worth), the Kravis Center Christmas show).
