| "Come on, we've over stayed our welcome" said Eymr as his mini dragon friend followed right behind him. As they walked along the road that lead them out of the town of Neras and behind them Neras was no more, for while they were packing a band of Ia's had come and set fire to the small town. Luckily all the villagers made it out alive and unharmed, had Eymr still been there he would of been burned alive for the villagers had began to think that he was a member of the evil Ia. The Ia were a gang bent of destroying anything and everything that was against them, before they came Eymr had stopped in the town to spend the night at their inn. When they saw that he was Vip, they never looked at his eyes. Vips were a human like creature and they only physical difference was that a Vip had solid black eyes, then the Vips had the ability to speak any language. They would of been valued but rumors began and they were marked as outlaws for something that their race had never done. "Eymr what are we going to do now?" asked the mini dragon, Dak. "I don't know, but we should resume are quest" answered Eymr. "And what is our quest?" Dak. "Well since your forgot, our guest is to find other Vip and hope that I'm not the last one,” said Eymr. "Oh before I forget was the girl at the inn a Vip?" asked Dak. "No, the only reason she covered her eyes was because she was blind,” answered Leer. "Oh, sorry for asking" replied Dak. "It's fine, I knew one of you was going to ask,” said Eymr. "I hear something, I think it's a wagon with two horses. One horse is brown and the other is black,” said Dak, Eymr nodded and leapt into a tree near the rode. The mini dragon scampered into the brush on the other side; soon a large wagon came by with two horses. One horse was black and the other was brown, when the wagon passed Eymr dropped out of the tree and the mini dragon meet him in the road. "How did you know what colors the horses were?" asked Eymr. "Well if you forgot I have magic eyes that let me see thing before they happen and they also heal,” answered Dak. "I wont forget about of your eyes,” replied Eymr as they resumed their walk down the road. "We're still going to do my quest, right?" asked Dak. "Yes, I'll make sure that we find your parents,” answered Eymr. "I just hope that nothing has harmed them,” said Dak. "I doubt that anything can harm to full grown elemental dragons. I've been wondering, how could the son of a fire and ice dragon turn out to be a mini dragon?" asked Eymr. "Well they crossed elements, in their clutch there was going to be a mutation and that was me,” answered Dak. "Well, who's powers do you have?" asked Eymr. "I have both my parents powers, while my siblings have only one power and if they every tried to fight me I could beat them" answered Dak. Their chat ended there and they walked in silence for neither had anything to say; they walked on until the sun started to set. "All right magic eyes which way is our camp site going to be?" asked Eymr. "This way" answered Dak as he ran to his left with Eymr following right behind him, soon they stopped at a clearing where the tree circled and a small stream flowed through. "Nice job" said Eymr as he walked into the clearing. Just then a rabbit jumped from it's hiding spot and ran near Dak, it was a big mistake for their dinner they would have slightly burned rabbit. "Hey, we have dinner,” said Dak as he looked at the rabbit in front of him. "Get rid of the fur and I'll be back with some wood" said Eymr as he stepped out of the clearing and into the woods. When he returned the fur was gone and a patch of grass was burned away for the fire, he set the wood on the patch and Dak spit out a ball of fire and lit the fire. He then burned a circle around the fire to keep it in one area. They began to eat their dinner when a person wearing clothing covering their face stumbled into their camp. "Please, help me,” said the stranger as they fell to their knee's then onto their face. "Move them over here" said Eymr as he rolled out a blanket and he and Dak moved the stranger onto it. Eymr then got another blanket and covered him with it; they ate quietly and saved some meat for their guest. About midnight the stranger awoke, they leaned up and pointed toward the trees where he entered from and fell back to the blanket. "I'll go see if anything is there,” said Dak as he walked over to the trees and returned carrying a bag, he then set it next to the guest. The stranger moved his hand onto a flap on the bag and opened and pulled out a yellow leafy plant and held it up to his face, he breathed into two big breaths then put the put the plant back. He sat up and smiled. "I thank you for helping me, others would have just left me there. If your wondering my name is Soz,” said Soz. "If you don't mind my asking but what was the stuff that you breathed in?" asked Eymr. "Well it's a rare plant that helps your lungs and brain which mine aren't the best?" answered Soz. "I see that you have a mini dragon with you, you've heard the legend about them, right?" asked Soz. "Well no, but let me ask. Dak is there a legend about minidragons?" asked Eymr. "I don't think that there is one that I know of,” answered Dak. "How did you talk to the minidragon?" asked Soz. "I just asked him like I'm talking to you" answered Eymr. "No you didn't when you talked to it all you did was make dragon noise and so did it" replied Soz. "Dak, do you speak human?" asked Eymr. "No, all I can speak is dragon and reptile,” answered Dak. "Well I was wondering how that worked,” said Eymr. "Wait your a Vip, aren't you?" asked Soz. "Yes" slowly answered Eymr as he looked into the fire. "At last, I've been searching for one of you. Here, I need you to read this" said Soz as he opened his bag and pulled out a sheet of paper with writing on it. "Do you want me to read it or read it out loud?" asked Eymr. "Please read it out loud,” asked Soz, Eymr nodded and began to read. "I don't know how long I can hold out, they've come close but they've missed me every time. I wish you would hurry and come; it's getting quite lonely here without you. If your wondering here are the directions to get to me, left, right, straight, 2, 15, left, right and your there. Since your daft you enter at the old tree at the fork in the road next to the waterfall" yours Leer. P.s. you might need a Vip to help you translate the directions" finished Eymr "Good, no you keep the paper. It might help you later on,” said Soz, as Eymr was about to hand him the paper. "So what's the legend about minidragons?" asked Eymr. "Ah yes, it's said that a special minidragon can grant one type of powers to one person. And from what I can tell I've never seen a minidragon like him, what is his linage?" asked Soz. "Well, he says that his parents were elemental dragon. His father was a fire and his mother was an ice. Then he says that he was the mutation from their clutch since they crossed elements" answered Eymr. "That's it then, a special minidragon. Does your friend know that he has his power?" asked Soz. "Let me ask. Dak did you know that you had this power?" asked Eymr. "Well, my parents said that I was special but I never knew what they meant,” answered Dak. "He never knew,” said Eymr as Soz nodded and reached for his pack. "Why don't you think about what ability you would like while I get your friend a spell that will help him give you an ability?” said Soz as Eymr sat and began to think. |
