An hour later Kat had finally arrived at the address, she then checked twice to see if the paper had the right address on it. She then shrugged her shoulders and opened the door and walked in, she was quickly entangled in the beaded door behind the wooden door. When she was loose she began to examine the room, there was a table and two chairs in the center of the room and on the table was a crystal ball and a deck of tarot cards. "Hello, is anyone here?" asked Kat as she walked around the room. Suddenly there was a creak of a chair and Kat spun around, in one of the chairs sat a Gypsy dressed woman. "Sit" she commanded and Kat quickly sat down. "In the chair" she added as Kat quickly stood up and sat down in the chair. "Uh, Witch asked me to deliver this, said Kat as she handed the woman the piece of paper. "Ah, I see" she replied as she took the paper and stood up. She then walked over to one of the shelves and picked something up. "I need to wrap this, just stay seated and don't touch anything, hissed the woman as she walked out of the room through a door hidden by cloths. "This place is starting to really freak me out, whispered Kat as she began to hear strange noises. She then shook her head and looked at her watch, it said that it was near ten o'clock. Suddenly the woman appeared and handed Kat a small box wrapped in brown paper. "Whatever you do, don't open this and make sure that it gets to Witch's hands and no one elses" said the woman as she handed Kat the box. "I promise, said Kat as she nodded her head and walked out of the room and into the street. "No one's gona get this box from me" said Kat proudly as she began to walk down the sidewalk. She was fifty steps away from the shop when a man stepped in front of her. "Hand over you stuff and you wont be hurt, said the man as his gang of thugs surrounded her. "No way, this is mine, replied Kat as wrapped her right arm around the box and slipped into a fighting stance. "This is your last chance, hand over the box" said the man as he began to swing a chain in an arch. "Ok, this is your last chance to leave, replied Kat as she held out her left arm and made a charging up noise. But the man was unimpressed, he sneered before he swung his chain and lunged at Kat. Suddenly Kat lost control of her robotic parts; four guns sprouted from her left arm and fired as one. Kat was horrified as the man fell to the ground dead; her arm then turned and fired several warning shots at the gang that surrounded her. They shouted and swore as they pulled out their weapons. "This is for the death of our leader, shouted one as they fired their pistol. Suddenly it seemed that time was slowing down for Kat for she watched as the bullet came out of the gun and seemed to freeze in mid air, Kat then looked down and saw that she was quickly becoming robotic. She watched as her body went from flesh to machine, the only thing that didn't become robotic was her right eye. Just then time seemed to unfreeze and the bullet imbedded itself in her side. "Whoa where did the girl go?" asked one as the gang quickly lowered their weapons and pulled out their guns. Kat's robotic body took a step and another, try as she might she could no longer control her body. The body stopped in front of one of the members and backhanded them, snapping their neck. "No, stop. You can't do this, pleaded Kat as she focused her mind on any part of the robotic body to try and stop it. Soon Kat just stopped trying, she found that no matter how hard she tried; she could no stop the robot from kill the gang. When no one opposed the robot time seemed to freeze again and the new robotic parts quickly melted away leaving Kat with her body before the fight started. As her eye began to tear up she quickly checked to make sure she still had the box, she then turned and broke into a run in the direction of Witch's home. When she spotted it looming toward her she began to run faster, she raced up the porch and stopped. She then pounded on the door till Witch quickly opened it and nearly fell down for a small box was tossed toward her. She caught the box and quickly looked up to see Kat racing away from her home. Kat was drenched in sweat by the time that she had reached the property line of her home. To keep themselves safe, the four decided to live in the same house to make sure that no one made any attempts to make hate crimes against Kat. She quickly shook her head before she jumped over the fence and kept running. Halfway to their home she tripped over something large and soft. "Kat, are you all right?" asked Van in his werewolf form as he lifted his head up from his dinner, which was a deer carcass. Seeing the blood from the deer spilled out on the ground brought the vivid memories from the gang fight, she went pale as she leapt off the ground and took off running. "Was it something I said?" asked the werewolf as he shrugged his shoulders and went back to his dinner. By the time Kat had actually reached her home, she would have to fix to left foot for it was starting to lock up. She took a deep breath before she opened the door, walked in and quickly shut it. She then quickly scanned her home and found that Derik and Lance were nowhere near her destination. She sighed a breath of relief when she reached her room; she closed the door and slowly sank to her knees. She then pressed a button and the lights in her room slowly faded out, next she wrapped her arms around her knees and laid her face down. Suddenly she heard a door open and close, Van had just walked in. She heard voices as they climbed they stairs and stopped in front of her room, one of them gently knocked on her door but she ignored it. |
