The dark presence that had just arrived was Derik's one and only father, The Grim Reaper. "Father, what are you doing here?" asked Derik as he summoned his scythe for his father held his. "I was checking my scroll when your friend name appeared on it, the names usually appear before the person dies so that I may be a witness" replied Grim as he slipped in between the demon and the door. "Move aside" shouted Lance as his eyes flared. "You are filled with so much rage and hatred that you cannot listen to the rest of what my son is telling you, finish what you started son" said Grim as he held the demon in check. "Yes father, as he said I did not finish. The part that you didn't hear was that someone was controlling Kat and made her do those things, father says that Kat was going to be a cybotic assassin so they planned an explosion. Father, I think that you should continue on" said Derik with a bow of his head. The Grim Reaper nodded before he began. "I watched as they set the explosion off, but her name was not on my scroll so I did not take her soul. During the time that your friend was missing I saw what they did to her, I watched as they kept her mind separate from her body. They wanted her to become the ultimate killer but they did not anticipate that her body would accept the robotic parts so well, on a crazed act to play god they let her mind return to her body. But before they would awaken her, they made it so that she would never remember any of the assassins training that she had to undergo. When she was released your friend Witch cast a spell that took Kat's information out of record and she was soon forgotten, but somehow someone found a file that held all of her training and they decided to activate it right when Kat got into the fight" finished the reaper as he sighed for he had never talked that long before. "Father, you forgot to mention something,” said Derik as he tapped his scythe against the ground. "Oh right, I had forgotten. Right now all of her training, the kills that she was forced to do has come back. And with all the new information of doing something so evil and not feeling any remorse, she would of welcomed being killed" said the Grim Reaper as he faced Lance. The demon bowed his head before he jerked it back up with a look of determination on his face. The Grim Reaper nodded before he stepped away from the door, Lance then entered and quickly shut the door. Grim then summoned his scroll and found Kat's name, it fluttered before it faded from the paper. "Will Kat be all right, with him in there?" asked Van. "Yes, come it will be very boring and a long time before Kat will be willing to leave that room,” said Grim before he turned and faded away. "I think there is a movie on tonight,” said Derik as he slipped into his human form, Van nodded as they both walked down the stairs and sat on the couch. Lance scanned the room before he spotted Kat, he had never seen her like this. His face melted into one of sorrow as he sat next to her, he then wrapped his arms around Kat and then pulled her close. "I know what's going on with you right now, and I want you to know that I will be here for you" said Lance as he began to feel funny. "You don't mean that,” whispered Kat. "Of course I do, how could you of thought that I wouldn't care about you" replied Lance as he felt a little shock. "The voice told me so, it tells me to leave y'all and return to the laboratory and to never leave,” said Kat in a depressed voice. "Don't listen to the voice, listen to my voice" said Lance as he felt another shock for the pain was coming from the curse that he had. "Yes Lance" mumbled Kat as she drifted off to sleep. "Good, you seem to need your rest" replied Lance as he leaned his head against a wall and drifted off. *** Kat was suddenly awoken by a sharp slap of her boyfriend's hand; she was about to yell when she found that the arm had fallen asleep. She slowly slipped from his arms; she picked up Blix and set him on her shoulder as she walked out of the room. She was about to take a step when she looked down and saw Derik scratching the head of Van's wolf form. "Good, they're both asleep. But I wonder how long Derik has been scratching Van's head?" asked Kat to no one as she passed the boys and walked down the stairs. When she reached the kitchen she watched as Blix glided from her shoulder and into his spot, he sat down and began to wait for his breakfast. Kat quickly fed the Llithro before she began on the guys breakfast; she started with the pancakes before she went to eggs and then bacon. When the food was all fixed she loaded up the plates and set them in the boys places, Van's plate held all meats, Derik’s held a small mixture of all that was fixed, then Lance's held only bacon and pancakes. Kat then doubled checked to make sure that everything was in place before she walked over to Blix, he had just finished with his meal when Kat stood in front of him. "Blix, go wake up the boys and bring them to the table" said Kat as she tossed Blix into the air. "Apples" replied Blix as he glided around the corner and up the stairs. He landed in front of Kat's door before he slipped under it and scampered over to Lance, he then quickly woke the demon up and led him to the door. The ice then quickly woke the other two up and lead all three down the stairs and to the table, when he landed he stole a chunk of bacon from Van's plate and glided into the kitchen. The boys quickly sat down and began to eat their breakfast. |
