"Uh guys,” said Kat as she stepped out of the kitchen with Blix on her shoulder. "I want to apologize for last night,” added Kat as her gaze fell to the ground.
"Accepted" replied all three at once.
"And if I was going through the same thing that you were, I would of done the same thing" added Van as he licked his plate clean.
"No matter how dumb that sounded, it means a lot to me" said Kat as she nodded her head and went back into the kitchen; she then pulled a long cord from her left arm and placed it on the burner of the stove. She then turned the stove on high and waited, since she has mechanical organs she cannot digest food. Instead she uses any type of heat as her food source, this way she can have everlasting energy. When she finished she turned the stove off and sucked the cord back in.
When the others finished they walked in and set their dishes in the sink, all of them then walked into the living room and turned the T.V. on. There on the news was the body's of the gang being loaded into ambulances, even though they were all ready dead. Van quickly grabbed the remote and changed the channel.

Later that evening Derik suddenly came up with an idea.
"What if, later tonight we go to the laboratory and find the file that has the last bit of Kat's information on it,” suggested the son of the Grim Reaper. He was replied with ideas on how they should sneak in and do it.
"You guys are all dorks, all I have to say is that I'm going in for a foot repair,” replied Kat as she glared at the boys.
"That'll work but how are we going to sneak in?" asked Van with a smug look on his face.
"Easy, Lance could be some sort of item that I have with me and Derik could be my shadow,” replied Kat.
"I like the idea but what about Van?" asked Derik.
"I got it, he can be the look out" said Lance only to be shoved by Van.
"No way am I staying out of the action?” shouted Van as he stood up off the couch.
"But we're going to need somebody to race through the gates with our getaway car" added Kat as a grin appeared on Van's face.
"All right, we've got our plan down so when do we leave?" asked Lance.

Close to midnight Van stopped the car in front of the building that held the laboratory within it, the other three stepped out of the car as Van slowly pulled away. Derik then nodded and slipped into Kat shadow, Kat then did a few test walks and found that Derik was a master at hiding in shadows. Lance then nodded and slipped into a dark liquid like form, he then leapt onto Kat's right arm and took his desired form. He covered her fingers and all the way up to her shoulder in black metallic armor, as a little joke at the end of every piece of armor spikes would erupt.
Kat moved her right arm and found that it made her back feel funny, Lance then slowly slipped onto her back and she tried moving her arm again. This time she didn't even feel that Lance was there.
"All right, are we ready?" asked Kat as the two replied yes. Kat nodded as she entered the building, she waved to the guards as she entered the elevator. During the ride down she accidentally stepped on Derik and had to slap Lance to stop him from messing with her robotic parts. When the doors opened she quickly walked out, it was there that Derik left them to quickly search for people on computers.
Kat quickly picked a lock to a door and entered, she sat in front of the computer as Lance slid from her arm and into the computer to start searching for files. When he found that there was nothing on this computer he entered the program that kept all the computers together and sent out a virus that would delete all files in an hour, he then crawled out of the computer in his human form and stood beside Kat.
"Hey, this computer has my upgrades in it. Speed, flying, swords..." said Kat as she sent out a small cord and stuck it into the computer and quickly started to download all the upgrades new and old.
"How long will that take?" asked Lance as he began to grow impatient.
"About ten more seconds,” replied Kat with a smirk, when her upgrades finished loading Derik appeared.
"I found someone working on a computer, and there is a shortcut to a file called Kat,” said Derik as the other two nodded. Derik and Lance quickly took their hidden places on Kat as she stepped out of the room, she was able to follow Derik's directions for every time she was about to go in the wrong direction Derik would hold her feet till she turned and walked into the correct direction.
Suddenly Derik stopped her from walking, she turned and watched as a man typed on a computer and open a file that had Kat's name on it. Suddenly an endless supply of rage seemed to boil inside Kat.
Strangely Kat's waist long, brown hair seemed to rise, she then raised her left arm and the guns slithered out. She pointed away from the man when she fired, she then sucked the guns back in and charged the window. With the bullet holes the window shattered easily, Derik stepped out of her shadow in his real form with is scythe in his hands. Lance then flowed off of her arm and into his human form with his black armor.
"Wh-who are you people?" asked the man as he scooted to the back of a wall.
"We are your demise,” replied Derik as he swung his scythe.
"What have I done?" asked the man.
"You picked the wrong file to tap into,” replied Lance as he summoned a fireball into his hand, from the light the fire brought it showed that the man was Dr. Moral. |
