Kat yawned sleepily, she was having trouble sleeping because of the storm going on outside. She sat up in her soft bed of furs, she gently stroked Blix that slept beside her. She then stood up and began to make her way where her two bondmates slept. The first dragon that Kat had bonded with at the hatching was Lyrisax, a large celestial marked dragoness. The second was Umenoth a nice sized rocky colored dragoness.
As she walked she passed the sleeping quarters of her three best friends, Van, Lance and Derik. Suddenly a voice filled her mind.
"Kat, you shouldn't be up this late" said Lyrisax as she stood behind the cyborg.
"I agree, if we sleep so do you" added Umenoth as she trotted up to the celestial.
"I know, but it's the storm. And the fact that Lance has so much power now" replied Kat as she sat down. The two dragoness then joined her and laid down at her side.
"Now why are you worried about Lance, he can take care of himself. You know that" asked Lyrisax as she looked down at Kat.
"I know, but what is something happens. Like if he would to become power hungry and loose all sense of life...and forget me" answered Kat as she lowered her head to the floor.
"If he were to forget you, he would never forgiven himself" cut in Umenoth.
"Well thats good to know. Just for the record I wasn't really afraid,I just needed some reasuring" announced Kat as she stood up and made her back to her furs to sleep.
"Reasuring my tail, she really was worried" mumbled Lyrisax to herself as she went to the entrance of their home and flared her wings. Her markings glowed as she hummed to herself as the storm wanned and finally ceased.
"Yes, I know. And that is why were are here for her" replied Umenoth as the celestial nodded. |
