It was dark by the time Ombra had reached an inn, he growled as he walked through the door. Despite the fact that he could sleep through anything did not mean that he could sleep anywhere. He despised sleeping outside unless it was an emergency but other than that he would find an inn and rest for the night. He approached the innkeeper and set down the coins, the man gasped for they were pure gold. "I shall not be disturbed for the night, let no one enter my room" said Ombra as the man handed him his key, the innkeeper was staring at the money to even notice that Ombra was of evil. As he climbed the stairs that led to his floor a group of children was playing tag in the halls, one of them stumbled and fell toward Ombra. Instead of saving the child, he leapt over them. He glanced over his shoulder as the child began to tumble down the stairs. "Hope you learn a lesson" said Ombra to the child as he smirked from behind his mask. He found his room and entered, he quickly locked the door and placed a chair up against it. He wasn't paranoid; he just hated to be disturbed. He glanced around the room to find that it was acceptable, he grabbed some extra sheets and stuffed them under the blanket to make it look as it he was asleep. He then walked over to a corner and knelt down, he leaned against the wall as he let his head tilt forward; he was soon asleep. He suddenly heard a creak in his room, his eyes shot open but he kept his body still. There was a boy in his room, one that looked to be of thirteen years. Ombra could quickly tell that this boy was a thief and a poor one at that, the boy held a dagger in his right hand as he slowly made his way to the bed. As the boy stabbed the blanket Ombra stood up and pulled out both of the two Katanas, the boy kept stabbing as Ombra made his way to the boy. In one swift motion Ombra sliced the boy's back open, the boy dropped his dagger as he spun around. "You can't kill a dark ninja, boy” hissed Ombra as he beheaded the boy. As the body fell, Ombra looked up at the ceiling. A tile had been removed, and that was how the boy had entered. He cleaned his Katanas and sheathed them; he leapt up and climbed into the ceiling. It was an attic that had fake tiles in each room; he walked along the support beams till he found the room his was looking for. He knelt down and listen, his thoughts were accurate for he had moved above the innkeeper’s room. He tested the tiles with his foot till he found a weak one; he took a step back and leapt forward. He came crashing through the ceiling in a cloud of dust and debris, the innkeeper coughed and sputtered as he tried to breathe through the dust. Ombra stood up and pulled out one of his Katanas. "You sent a thief after me, now his blood is spilt as yours shall be for sending a creature to disturbs my sleep" hissed Ombra as he slashed the innkeeper. When the man was dead, Ombra cleaned his Katana and sheathed it. He then began to walk around the room; there were several items of great value but only one that caught his eye. It was a ball of the darkest jade and touched by evil, Ombra's breath became short as he touched the jade ball but his hopes were dashed when he felt nothing in the jade ball. In his anger he picked the ball up and hurled it against a wall, when it burst open a little note fluttered to the ground. He gingerly picked it up and read it; it was a note from the old woman. He read it twice to make sure that he understood it, the note said that the old woman was going to the Mist Dragon Mountains. He slipped the note into his boot as he turned and walked out of the room, he quickly made his was out of the inn to find dawn approaching. He groaned as he began to make his way down the trail to the Mist Dragon Mountains. "That old woman better have my soul for I will kill all the world's inhabitants to find it,” said Ombra to no one as he walked. Around noon he reached the base of the mountain, the only trail that led up it was mostly gone. He quickly found the trail as he began to climb up the mountain; most of the trail has been worn away by time and water. He leaned toward the mountain so that his weight wouldn't crumble the last of the trail. As he walked he smelled something, he looked up to find smoke coming out of a crack above him, he also smelt fish cooking. "Found you" hissed Ombra as he began to run, as he ran the trail began to crumble behind him. But he didn't care, he would have his soul back and that's all he cared about. Suddenly the trail came to an end, Ombra stopped running and looked around. The ground he was hard and strong, he began to knock on parts of the rock to try and find a hollow spot. He sneered when he knocked on wood; he had found a hidden door. Ombra growled as he slipped into Scuro and walked through the hidden door, when he was past he stepped out of Scuro. He expected to feel pain, exhaustion but he felt normal. "Scuro is messing with me and I want to know why,” hissed Ombra as he began to walk down a tunnel, it was well used for their were torches that hung on the wall. The smell of cooked fish began to grow and Ombra speeded up. |
