| "Lets see do I want to go to the records or go to the unimpressed dragonets" whispered Zayra to himself. Zayra just shrugged and turned down the tunnle which pointed to the unimpressed dragonets. "I guess this is it" said Zayra as he came to a door, he walked up to it and pushed it open. In the room were sevan dragonets, 1 green, 3blue and 3 bronzes. "I think I'll try the green" thought Zayra as he aproached the sleeping green. When he neared it all she did was lift her head and fall asleep, " I guess it's not you" thought Zayra as he walked to the three blues. As he neared, the three of them didn't look up at him for they were playing a game by stareing at each other. Zayra sighed and moved on to the three bronzes who two of them where circleing the third, when Zayra came close the bronze in the middle looked at him with his eyes changing colors rapidly. The bronze shoved the other two and ran to Zayra, he slowed to a stop and stared. "Hey Zayra, I've been waiting forever for you. By the way my name is Timath" said Timath. All Zayra could do was kneel down and put his arms around his new bondmate. "Is there something wrong, could you stop hugging me the other dragonets are laughing at me and the green is making goo goo eyes at me" protsted Timath. Zayra nodded (now know as Z'ay) and stood up and lead Timath out of the room and down the tunnle and stopped at the corner to go into the records room. "You need to sign me in as your bondmate" commanded Timath as he nudged Z'ay in the direction of the room. Just then Nau appeared from between, he was startled at the bronze next to Z'ay. "I don't think that Nau likes me to much" said Timath. "Nau be nice to Timath" said Z'ay as he began to walk to the records room. |
| "Excuse me, is this the records room?" asked Z'ay as he entered the records room. "Yes, it is. And who are you?, I don't remember seeing you at one of the hatchings" asked the woman. "I'm Z'ay and this is Timath. He just impressed with me in the unimpressed dragonets room" answered Z'ay. "Z'ay look at what I can do" said Timath as he put his arms on the ground and then his head and had his feet and tail in the air and both were moving around rapidly as he began to lose his balance. "Careful" said Z'ay as he helped Timath regain his balance with arms and legs on the ground. |

| "Whoa, my head feels funny" said Timath as he wobbled around for he became dizzy. "Just sit down you'll feel much better and why did you just do that in front of her?" asked Z'ay as he sat Timath on the ground. "I was showing Weyrwoman Tai what I could do since you weren't doing anything neat looking" replyed Timath as he laid his head on the ground. "I appoligize for Timath, I never knew that a bronze would be such a handful" said Z'ay. "It's quite allright, has you dragon told you who I am?" asked Tai. When Z'ay nodded she continued. "Since you impressed from the unimpressed dragonets you'll need to write down a few things in the records" said Weyrwoman Tai as she handed him a sheet of wher hide. "Just fill it out and you may go out and train" added Tai as she handed him a quil. Z'ay nodded and began to fill in the questions. "I think I'm finished" said Z'ay handing her the hides. "Yep, now go to the sands and someone will show you where you need to go" said Weyrwoman Tai as she turned to fill the answers in a large book. "Well lets go to the sands" said Z'ay as he turned and made his way out of the tunnel with Timath at his side. |
| "Excuse me which way is the sands?" asked Z'ay as a weyrbrat came running along. "Which sands?" asked the weyrbrat. "What do you mean?" asked Z'ay "Boy you must be a stupid rider if you don't even know which sands you impressed your dragon at" teased the weyrbrat as he began to run. "I don't think your stupid. I think that you didn't know that I was hatched at the deep cavern sands" said Timath. "Why didn't you says that?" asked Z'ay. "You never asked me" answered Timath. "Fine do you remember where the sands are?" asked Z'ay. "I think so, I'll ask one of the dragons" said Timath. Z'ay waited until Nau chirped with hunger. "Here Nau" said Z'ay as he found a peice of dried meat (that he had packed in case of emergancies) and handed it to Nau who accepted it quickly. "I want some too" said Timath looking up at Z'ay. "Did you find out where the sands are?" asked Z'ay. "Oh, yes I did but I got to chatting with the queen that was in the same clutch as me so I got a little side tracked" replyed Timath as he looked at the ground beneth him. "Here" said Z'ay handing Timath a piece of the meat. "Ok, follow me if you can" said Timath as he broke into a run in the direction of a large cavern. |
| "Hey, you caught up with me. Anyway this is the deep cavern sands, this is where queens go and clutch and also where I hatched at" said Timath walking down the tunnel leading to a very large sands. "I'm sorry but there are no dragons on the sands right now but try the shallow cavern sands" said a girl weyrbrat who had approached them silently. "I can see that but Weyrwoman Tai said to go here since Timath was hatched here but not impressed and..." stopped Z'ay for the girl cut him off. "All right I see where your going please follow me?" asked the girl as she turned and began to walk away. Z'ay quickly caught up with her as she walked up to a door, she knocked then opened the door and entered. "Yes, what is it?" asked a man behind a desk. "This boy impressed one of the bronzes at the unimpressed dragonets and was told to come here" finished the girl as she left the room closeing the door behind here. "I'm your weyrling master F'lnor" said the man standing and walking away from his desk. "Im Z'ay and this is Timath" said Z'ay as Timath bowed as his name was called. "Good your dragon knows some manners I will show you where your weyr is located and I will be training you and your dragon till he's an adult" said F'nor as he opened the door and walked out of the room. Z'ay followed him out as Timath closed the door with his tail. "We'll take a dragon since it's quicker and I don't have alot of time left for there's someone I need to meet" said F'lnor as he walked onto the sand and hailed down a brown dragon. "Sit behind me, Krispith will carry the bronze" said F'lnor as he mounted the brown and helped Z'ay mount. Once they were seated Krispith stood up and grabbed Timath in his claws the launched into the air. "Z'ay I'm not suposed to be in the air till I was a weyrling" said Timath. "Nau go to Timath and comfort him till were there" said Z'ay as Nau went between. "Just a little bit longer" said F'lnor, a bit later the brown landed and set Timath down gently as Z'ay and F'lnor got off. "This is your weyr, today you will get to know you dragon as well as you know your self" said F'lnor as he remounted his dragon and was off to meet with someone. "Come on Timath, lets explore our new home" said Z'ay as he ran into their new weyr. After a candlemark later they had finished exploring the weyr and Timath and Nau were both taking a nap. Just then Z'ay decided to send a flit to tell his family what had happened, so when Nau awoke Z'ay was just finishing his letter. He handed it to Nau who went between to his family hold. Before Nau arrived Z'ay decided to take a nap too, so he curled up to Timath and fell asleep. |
