History:
David Levinson was about as average as a man can get. He worked for a living, had his own place, hung out occasionally with a group of friends from his college days and watched either sporting events or old Star Trek episodes. His name was used for a character in a very popular science fiction movie and unknown to himself he was friend’s with a number of superheroes who made up the team known as the
Force of Nature!
While hanging out with his college buddies, Gary Wilens and Michael Kramer, the two revealed to him that they were part of the new real-life superhero team and demonstrated their powers. As they told David the stories of how they gained their miraculous powers, the televised boxing match they were about to watch was pre-empted by a news bulletin. Gary’s most annoying adversary, Dan Stahl, had attacked an archeological dig with his gang of grave robbers.
The archeological dig was in a cavern on an ancient Native American reservation that had been deserted for over a hundred and fifty years. According to the legend surrounding the reservation, a group of rogue cavalry officers had committed several atrocities against the people of the reservation. In a final act of revenge against the evil men who had wiped out the people of the reservation, the shaman of the tribe had called down a horrendous storm and destroyed his people’s killers.
Gary, as the superhero
CYBERBOLT was on the scene in an instant. Michael transforming himself into
THE GOLDEN DRAGON followed with David Levinson on his back. Levinson, who had wanted to watch Cyberbolt trounce Stahl in person tagged along and even went so far as to bring the bowl of popcorn that he had made to eat for the boxing match.
During the battle with Stahl and his thugs, Michael’s fire-breath power knocked out a wall in the cavern. Before the stunned eyes of the combatants a very ancient Native emerged from the adjoining chamber. It was the Shaman who had fought the evil cavalry officers ages ago. He was about to speak when Stahl pulled out a gun and aimed it straight at the Shaman’s head. Almost instinctively David Levinson rushed foreword and knocked the old man out of the bullet’s path. As Cyberbolt stunned Stahl with a lightning charge the Old man breathed his last. The strain of the past hundred and fifty years along with the exertion of the attack had been too much. As the old man crumbled into dust, his powers over the weather passed into David.
Choosing to call himself Stormfront: the weatherman, David donned a mask and costume and joined the Force of Nature at the request of his friends.
Powers:
Stormfront has the power to control all types of weather he can manipulate the climate patterns all over the world or he can influence specific areas with pinpoint accuracy. He has discovered that among his powers he has acquired the ability to fly and immortality. He cannot grow old or become sick. He can survive the vacuum of space, but he is not invulnerable, and will die if shot or stabbed. Such mortal wounds heal and he wakes up as if he suffered from nothing more than a loss of consciousness. Any non-fatal wounds Stormfront receives take as long to heal as they would for any other person but they do not scar as a mortal’s wounds would. Stormfront’s weather-influencing powers are so acute that he can use them to defend himself. He can call down chunks of hail thick enough to stop bullets or he can create an invisible funnel of wind that can protect him from knives. He can’t sense an attack however, and thus cannot protect himself if he is not aware of the danger he is in at a given time.
