                    The Boy Who Lived
What would it be like to be able to fly on a broomstick, brew up potions of death, or even slay a dragon? All of this Harry Potter, child celebrity in the wizarding world has done. With magical powers surpassing that of the most powerful wizards in the world, who wouldn't want to be like him? If that isn't enough, he is also a celebrity among the wizarding world, known to all as "the boy who lived." Through all the fame and power, what may be his best quality is his ability to remain modest, humble, and kind. He doesn't think of himself as anything higher than any other person. I would like to be Harry Potter for a day because of his super magical powers and his stardom in the wizarding world.
Harry Potter, not unlike any other wizard, has magical powers. For the first 11 years of his life, he lived with his aunt and uncle, in a non-wizarding house. He was unaware of his past, or what the future holds in store. On his eleventh birthday, he received a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He attends this school to learn and practice his newfound powers. With his friends, he learns to make feathers float, transform animals to matchboxes, and even freeze wild pixies. Though he is not an outstanding student, he is an amazing wizard. He is able to stay cool in scary situations, while knowing exactly what to do. Harry Potter is also an extraordinary quidditch player (wizarding sport). With his father's genetics (father great player), he blows the competition away. All of Harry's powers, and even his adeptness at sports, is not all that makes this character so intriguing.
Harry Potter is a well-known celebrity. When Harry was just a baby there was a powerful dark wizard trying to control the world. He ruled for almost eleven years. His name is not spoken in the wizarding world because he, Voldemort still brings up scary memories. When Voldemort decided to kill someone, there was no getting away. Well he decided to kill Harry's family. He succeeded in killing Harry's Mother and Father, but when he got to Harry, his spell, the spell of the most powerful wizard of the time, backfired and destroyed himself. After that, the world was restored to its normal state, and no one had to worry about Voldemort any longer. This is why Harry is known to everyone. He virtually saved the world from an evil power-driven wizard. Through this, Harry remains a modest, kind and caring person.

Even though Harry has magical powers and is a celebrity, he manages to remain a normal, kind person. This is because his life was not always fun and games. Harry's parents had died while he was just a baby, and he never got to know them. He was forced to live with his bitter aunt and uncle, who never told him of his true past, nor what would lie ahead of him. He was forced to sleep in a cupboard underneath a staircase, and was subjected to the torment of his large cousin, Dudley. Harry did not grow up with all of the fame surrounding him, which is what leads him to be the caring, modest, and humble person that he is when he finally arrives at Hogwarts. It would be fun to be any celebrity for a day, but I think it would be even more fun to be Harry Potter. He is a celebrity, yet he remains a normal, down to earth person.

When I was young, and even now, I've always thought it would be he coolest thing to have magic powers. Imagine being able to fly on a broomstick, turn mice into matchboxes, and even go to a school where that is all you do all day long. Not only would you be able to do this as Harry Potter, but you would be famous as well! It would be fun to be Harry Potter for a day because he has magical powers, and is a superstar among wizards, and yet remains down to earth.
