Golden Star Baptist Church was established under the leadership of Reverend Galon Morine in 1931. Although a generally small congregation, it was not unusual to find Golden Star praising God throughout the night. In fact, Golden Star's reputation for praising God in spirit and in truth led its members to consider themselves as "Bapticostals" who were obedient to God and His wonderful gift, the Holy Spirit. Today, Golden Star is comprised of one pastor, four ministers, six deacons, and over 150 laypersons. Under the tutilege of Pastor Stanton Drinks, Sr., Golden Star Baptist Church has continued its commitment to the Lord and to the community. The Lord has given Pastor Drinks a mighty vision that has truly impacted the lives of the congregation and the community at large. We praise God for the angel of God's house and his supportive family as they stand as pilars in the community and living examples of holiness.
