What is the format of *.dat file which GoldExI creates?
If
you save N curves into dat file, GoldExI
creates a dat file which consists of 2*N columns: 1st column
contains x-coordinates of the 1st curve, 2nd column -- y-coordinates
of the 1st curve, 3rd column -- x-coordinates of the 2nd curve, etc.
Shortly speaking the order of columns is:
x1
y1 x2 y2 x3 y3
The
column width and separation character can be set in Options |
Data File Saving . In the previous version of GoldExI the curves
could be reordered while saving in such a way that the 1st curve
always contains the largest number of point. Now, this reordering is
optional, see Options|Data File Saving. Keep reordering on, if
you want your dat files to be compatible with the earlier versions of GoldExI.
