Specially designed and built for member airlines of the Amigo Air Alliance, the Boeing 737-800 Sonic Cruiser features the longest range of the 737 family of jetliners.
The Sonic Cruiser, after the Concorde, is the fastest airliner currently in service with speeds nearing Mach 1. However while providing greater thrust, the state-of-the-art CFM56-3B2 engines are actually more fuel efficient and silent compared to other engines.
The Sonic Cruiser (longer and wider than other 737s) features a re-inforced wing design, a sturdier fuselage and a totally redesigned tail assembly.
The Technical Department of Olé Airlines supervises the work of all the maintenance providers and controls their quality standards.
Altura Avro-Technics does the line and light maintenance and engineering of our aircraft at Puerto Vallarta Airport. C-Checks and D-checks however, are carried out with FLS Aerospace in Montréal. The overhaul of the CFMI-engines is taken care of by SSES (Sabena Snecma Engine Services) in Guadalajara.
As of December 2002, CFM56-3 engines in service with Olé Airlines have logged more than six million flight hours powering the airline's fleet of Boeing 737-800 and 737-700 aircraft.
These engines are produced by CFM International, the world's leading supplier of commercial aircraft engines and a 50/50 joint company between Snecma Moteurs (France) and General Electric (US).
The Olé Airlines fleet has maintained exceptional reliability rates. The fleet average shop visit rate is .050 (one unplanned shop visit per 20,000 flight hours); an in-flight shutdown rate of .003 (one event every 333,333 flight hours); and a fleet departure reliability rate of 99.996%.
