I write this request with anticipation, reserved joy and hope for justice.

Over the last five plus years I have lived and shared part of the sorrow, the wrath of intolerance and growth of my son Raymond Gilbert Morrison in his walk with God. As an Orthodox Jewish inmate he has suffered physically and emotionally in the CA prison system. As an Orthodox believer he has grown strong in his faith and deeply appreciative of his family. It is time for him to come home.

After reading the information on the website I pray you will feel led to e-mail those on the list. (PLEASE CLICK ON THE UPPER RIGHT LINK.) I have contacted these Representatives and Organizations to ask for a Compassionate transfer to Illinois also a reduction of the current sentence of ten years. Because of C status he must serve 100% of the sentence. As a first time offender he was charged three times for one allegation, one charge was struck several months ago by Appeal. There was no reduction in his sentence!

The continued cruel and unusual punishment for his devotion to God continues daily. As long as he has a beard he is classified a Program Failure and points have not been reduced. He has not failed in his faith.

This heartfelt request is written on behalf of Raymond Morrison K-50636, an Orthodox Jewish inmate at Lancaster State Prison in CA.

Ray has been classified a Program Failure( due to his full beard) He has been wrongfully sentenced to ten years in prison. He had never been in prison and was sentenced on three counts for the same offense. One charge has been stayed through Appeal. The second enhanced charge added four years and was not removed. He has served five of the ten years. He has been targeted for harassment and cruel punishment, because of his religious beliefs! His time is spent on C status in Level Four. He is placed with inmates serving 25 years to life because of added disciplinary points. Stabbings occur routinely and his life is in danger daily!

Please intervene, justice must take place now! A Compassionate transfer to Dixon State Prison in IL. and early release for time served must happen.

Please do all you can to bring Raymond Morrison home to IL. where he can serve his Lord and practice his faith in peace without cruelty and hatred.
