We have had an interesting term visiting a variety of places. Nursery to Beech House Farm, Year 2 to Kingswood, Year 4 to Shugborough, Year 5 to the Black Country Museum and Year 6 to the Grand Theatre to watch a performance of Midsummer Night’s Dream. These visits are an invaluable contribution to the children’s education, and I would like to thank you for your continued support.

Dudding Road are now 8.30am to 9.10am and 3.25pm to 4.00pm.
PHOTOGRAPHS
If your child has a school meal at lunchtime, please
forward £6.50 each week, the correct amount please as no change can be given,
in a clearly labelled envelope, to your child’s class teacher.
If you are paying for more than one child, please do not put them all in the same
envelope. May I remind you that changes to dinner
arrangements can be made at the beginning of each
term or half-term only.
Children bringing sandwiches should have their name and class number
clearly marked on their lunchboxes. No
cans, sweets or fizzy drinks please.
MEDICAL/DENTAL APPOINTMENTS
Children should not miss school for routine medical/dental appointments. Dental appointments should be made out of school hours or during school holidays. If, however, it is essential to make an appointment in school time, please produce the appointment card when collecting your child.
SCHOOL
UNIFORM
Friends of Goldthorn Park sell various items of school uniform in the Infant school hall on Wednesday afternoons but please note this day may be liable to change.
LOST
PROPERTY
As
it is difficult to recognise lost clothing because all the children wear the
same type of uniform, it is essential that all items be named.
HOLIDAYS
I would remind parents that a holiday form must be completed for each child taken out of school during term time. Holiday forms are available from the school office. When arranging holidays, please bear in mind that any time taken out of the school term will affect your child’s progress. We strongly urge you to restrict long vacations to school holiday times.
CASH SENT INTO SCHOOL
At times, large amounts of cash are sent into school for
trips and other events. It is
important that all contributions are identifiable.
Please, therefore, ensure that any money sent into school is sent in an
envelope, clearly labelled with your child’s name, class number and details of
the event.
