What a wet weekend, this is probably the worst weather we have had in all the years on the golf weekend. There were a few bright spots though, some of the golf was excellent, Scott got out of the traps early on day one with a birdie on the first hole and after the first 6 holes was only 2 over par, it was a pity that the overnight leader on Saturday blew up on Sunday, it was there to won. Coote also had a miracle shot on the 2nd, a real eagle, I guess this is almost like a hole in one. Big Wez was also in the hunt, and if he had scored on the last 2 holes of the last round like he had been scoring all weekend  then he would have pinched it again. I must say this year it was really close, 5 players were  in with a real chance of winning the coveted JCI Trophy coming down the last nine holes.

Tewkesbury was a good course (well for me it was) and it stood up to the weather extremely well. The wind had a real bite day one, the course gave us half a chance on Saturday, when all rounds looked better, and then Sunday the rains came and ruined a few scorecards. The course was mature in parts and the rough was kind, but if you were not careful it would and could catch you out. The greens were fantastic and they held a good line. The hotel delivered on all the stuff we expect and generally had a good atmosphere.

All the usual gags got an airing, Dex, the new boy got caught with his hand open full of cash (yes you've guessed the result), the chicken was present at the dinner table, and as usual Trevor sent his steak back to the kitchen, try ordering Chicken next year Morty !!

Thanks to all for a great weekend, the weather tried and failed to dampen the spirits, roll on 2007.
