This website is in memory of
Carolyn Mei Ling Chen
who entered the Kingdom of Heaven on June 6, 2001
Carolyn left behind two sons Kevin and James
and a precious daughter Kathleen (Katie) who she
loved so very very much!
She will also be sadly missed by her family in New York
especially her sisters Bee and Anita
Carolyn had many friends both in New York and Florida
One in particular is a longtime friend Ann Durkin "Annie"
whom
she loved as a sister.
Many of her friends in Florida were lucky
enough to see her all the time; they would go to lunch or dinner.
Her good friend Arthur helped her run errands when she wasn't
feeling well. Her friend Doris(Dory)organized a memorial service
for Carolyn at her church, Faith Evangelical Lutheran, last
Friday. They played some of her favorite hymns and songs
gave eulogies, remembrances, and prayed together.
I met Carolyn in a chat room about three
years ago. She was funny and compassionate and such a good
listener. Not long after, we spoke on the phone, exchanged snail
mail and planned to meet in person as soon as could be arranged.
Now, I will have to postpone that meeting for awhile until we meet
someday in Heaven. I feel so incredibly fortunate to have known
such a wonderful woman. She taught all of us so many things!
In the coming days and weeks I hope to post pictures,
poems, and anything else that Carolyn's friends may want to contribute.
