My Trip Around Campus (April 15, 2003)
We start our journey at my room. It's all...roomy.

This is my front door. As you can see, it's covered in the accumulated name-tags.

Here's my dorm, Dunne. Isn't it shibby?

The courtyard...or quad...whichever.

This is the dorm I lived in last year, Swig. It's so big that I had to take FOUR whole pictures.
I hope it looks something similar to the original.

This tight pack of buildings sort of comes together to form Bannan and the Engineering building.
I've had classes in both, though i didn't appreciate all the stair climbing that required.

The library. I've spent more time than I expected to there. The books are old, but they got some real
academic shit in 'em.

Another angle of Benson. The book store's to the left, the Multi-Cultural-Center to the right. Oh, and
that middle section is the free-speech zone. That's right, a free-speech ZONE!!!

Tis the Art building. It's an okay place, but it's so freakin' far away from everything else. It kills my feet.

Jump Start. It replaced the wonderous Jamba Juice with its suckiness. Just one of the many reasons this school
needs some serious adjustment.

The "de Saisset," our mini museum. It's cute from the outside, but there's way too small inside.

Alumni Science, my personal frequent flier building. It's the Psychology department's headquarters,
so I have at least one class in it every quarter.

This is O'Connor. It's a sucky place to have a class on a hot day. It has no air conditioning. That makes me sad.

Here's some people I saw practicing some fighting moves. They looked like they might be drama majors. I have no idea what the connection is, but whatever.

Father Junipero Serra. He founded the missions. I told you my school was built around a mission, right?

I just thought this looked pretty. It seves no purpose other than to mesmerize with beauty.

This looks like some sort of tour group. I stalked them for a while, but they weren't very interesting. They may
have been prospective students or just a random tour through the gardens. It is spring, after all.

I don't think these buildings even really get used. I once interrupted a video-taped interview here. I'm funny like
that. If you look...the way you are right now, you can see Swig. It's so massive, it blocks out the sun. Okay, only
when you're standing right next to it. But still.

I think this is a remnant of some of the original buildings constructed with the mission. It's a solitary wall that seems
to end for no reason. I think I'm pretty close to the truth. Maybe I'll investigate some later.

Look! Palm Trees!

I have no idea who this statue is. I scared away some pidgeons with the flash. I don't think they'll have any
permanent psychological damage. Maybe I'll go apologize later.

Flowers!!!

Here's what I was standing on while taking the picture above. I think it used to be a well. Kind of reminds me of
that movie, The Ring. Before you die, you see the ring.

Here's Kenna. I managed to go all of last year without having a class in here. Yet this year, I managed to have
two classes in there at the same time. Freaky.

This is another one of those "I thought it looked pretty" moments. Yes, I DO know I'm a dork. But I don't care.
So there.

This showed up earlier this year. I find it annoying. It makes you think, though. I mean, maybe war IS
homosexual. I mean, it does prop up in the strangest places between the least expected people. Hmmm...

This one's newer. And it's less than 10 feet away from the other one. People are stupid sometimes.

I take this route just about every day when going to and from class. Maybe I'll try taking it backwards one of
these days. Ya know, to mix things up.

I...don't know why I took this one...um...wenis.

Mclaughlin and Unity. They're just across the courtyard from Swig and Dunne. I'm not really familiar with what
they're like, but I have to go ahead and assume they aren't as cool as my dorm. Just cuz.

Oh look, it's the courtyard!

Here's the volley-ball spot. My room has a pretty good view of it, which is good when a bunch of hott shirtless
guys are playing.

There's my window in the middle. Not very unique, is it? Maybe a decal or two would spruce it up.

Here's the "front" door of Dunne. I don't really use it.

Here's a close-up. If you look really closely, you can see a certain someone's reflection.

This is the door I use. It's closer and therefore infinitely better.

And now, as we return home, I show you my desk. Why my desk? Cuz I think it's special. Plus my chair broke,
so this is the last record of its healthy existance.
