Gabriel Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue has recently taken in a new dog. We've seen many sad cases of neglect and abuse and Gabriel's story is among one of the saddest. Gabriel was a victim of severe abuse and neglect. Gabriel is a male APBT of undetermined age. Undetermined because Gabriel has been so severly starved and physically abused his age is unrecognizable. Gabriel has been intentionally blinded by means of unknown torture. He has sores all over his body. Yet Gabriel is the most beautiful dog we have ever seen. He is sweet, affectionate, gentle and loving - all the things the monster who did this to him is not. Gabriel is unfathomably forgiving. We, however, are not. We are Gabriel's voice. We are Team Gabriel. A member of AAHA has contacted our local media and told them about Gabriel's story. WCBM radio has already aired a story about him. A columnist for the Baltimore Sun, Gregory Kane, is covering Gabriel's story and it will appear in print on May 4. WJZ-TV is working on a story from the angle of trying to find out who did this to him. We are so thankful to these media sources for making this story of animal cruelty a priority. Animal Cruelty is a felony in the state of MD. The members of AAHA take cruelty to animals very serious and will encourage prosecution to the fullest extent if and when we get any leads on Gabriel's abuser and torturer. Gabriel is being cared for by the members of AAHA and by his foster mom where he finally knows love & kindness for probably the first time in his life. He is learning his way around his foster home successfully. We are taking Gabriel to an optathalmologist to ensure his eyes are in the best care. She is advising us and we will do whatever is necessary to benefit his health and future. Please spread the word about Gabriel's story. We are searching for a very special person for Gabriel to share his life with. Donations for Gabriel's medical bills may be sent to: Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue PO Box 65351 Baltimore, MD 21209 Memo- Team Gabriel We sincerely appreciate your kindess, compassionate & support.
