There has been an awakening among many living currently in the United States, as another war is being fought overseas and here at home, there are reports of "bio-terrorism" or "bio-warfare" hitting different avenues of our government, which have caused many to panic and question the safety and "freedoms" that they think exist in this country. One thing that really was brought to the forefront and continues to be so, is the threat of nuclear weapons; however, this threat seems quite odd, considering the fact that nuclear power plants, the government, and physicists, as well as others, have been telling us there is nothing to fear from nuclear power plants. Well, if this is the case, then why should nuclear power be any different? Aren't we safe, living right next to a nuclear power plant? Don't we have the cleanest water and the best overall environment (next to nuclear power plants)? We are always hearing about how good nuclear power is for the environment? Why is it when we witness environmental damage and mutations to all life forms caused by pollution, coal mines, strip mining, manufacturing and nuclear power wastes, etc., why are told not to discuss or disclose this information, thereby keeping the effects secret and contained within that community. What are they hiding? How long will it take before this happens across the globe?
It's time that we stop believing all of the propaganda of those who wish to prosper off our ailing health which comes from the increase of man-made and natural diseases, viruses and bacteria, and the increased use of vaccines. When we have what we feel or think is a medical problem, we are told to go "our doctor" who knows very little if anything about us and often times does not care about us, his/her patients, as he/she does not get paid to care. In addition, when we do get treated, since we are not treated holistically, only the symptoms are treated, if that, and he/she never discover or treat the problem(s) that brought us to them in the first place. This causes us to constantly be in their office, paying them money and increasing our insurance premiums, is there an alternative to this madness?
Why is it that we increase the consumption of our electricity, but complain when our bills are higher? Why do we also complain when alternative forms of energy are sought out that may reduce our bills, help the environment, and allow us to have sustainable communities through the use of sustainable electricity. With our increased reliance on technology, what does this do to us? Will our brains begin to shrink or we will become smarter? Will we still know how to interact with other humans? How will it make us more human or improve our lives? It seems that with all this new technology, the only thing that happens is that it is now easier to kill, abuse, maim, and hurt one another.
Why do we believe that our government is incorruptible and that big business is good for US, especially those who live in the in communities that have allowed or allow factories or plants (manufacturing, chemical, nuclear, petroleum, etc.) to enter? What happens to the environment in those places? What happens to the health of those people? Is there a higher rate of cancer, other diseases, and/or mutations? How safe is the water? How safe is the land? can one still grow food AND plant flowers and/or trees? Is nuclear power safe? Does it HELP the environment? Is it the best alternative to coal? When we hear that nuclear power help the environment, what does this mean? Does it mean that if we were to have no controls on nuclear power (wastes, storing, testing, etc.), that the whole ecosystem will be unharmed? If not, then can it really help or be safe for the environment?
It may be good an idea for
everyone to order the

The Ecologist, "Rethinking Basic
Assumptions..." so
we won't be making an "ass out of you and me." For those who wonder what really goes on inside a nuclear power plant, are
curious about how
nuclear weapons have been used in wars, just want to know if nuclear power
really does help
the environment, or just want to increase your knowledge about nuclear power about
