Piccolo
	Piccolo first appeared on the scene in the DB series.  He first appeared as an evil offspring of the great elder.  He was the evil offspring and hated everybody on Earth.  He later confronted Goku in the battle tournament and though showed an impressive battle, got dropped.      When the DBZ series started, Piccolo was forced to join Goku to fight Raditz, Goku's brother.  Piccolo eventually destoyed Raditz and Goku by accident when using his special attack, Special Beam Cannon.  After the battle with Raditz, Piccolo saw potential in Goku's son, Gohan and wanted to train him.  While training Gohan, Piccolo developed a personal friendship with him and when they fought against Nappa and Vegeta, Piccolo even sacrificed his life to save Gohan.      Later in the DBZ series, Piccolo becomes good friends with the Z warriors and helps them out a lot.  He becomes greater friends with Gohan and Goku.  However, late in the series, he becomes a minor character and really doesn't serve too much of a role in the series other than training Gotenks and getting dropped by Majin Buu.
