They will be duetting on a track that is set to be on their new album, The Love Album, a collection of cover versions of popular ballads from years gone by...The song All Out of Love which Delta features on was originally a No.11 hit for Air Supply in 1980 and reached No.2 in the US...Countless cover versions have been done in the past by 90's boyband OTT and dance act Foundation to name but a few...here is the full tracklisting of 'The Love Album':

Interestingly, this will take the number of Westlife members past or present that Delta has duetted with to 5 as her current boyfriend is former Westlife member Brian McFadden with whom she duetted on the Australian No.1/UK No.3 hit Almost Here as well as on a cover of Westlife's best known song Flying Without Wings and the b-side Hollow No More...

Delta unleashes duet with Tony Bennett!!!

Delta is set to appear on the Australian version of a new duets album by legendary 50's crooner Tony Bennett...the song that Delta appears on is called Steppin' Out With My Baby and is a jazz track which clocks in at just over 2 minutes, the first verse sung by Tony and the second by Delta, whose voice really suits the song and perhaps suggests further jazz outings??? The album is out worldwide in October though Delta appears only on the Australian version...

Delta in Japan

Delta is gearing up to release her first album in Japan on October 10th of this year!!! The collection called Innocent Eyes is a compiltion of her best tracks from her Australian/UK debut Innocent Eyes and her 2nd album Mistaken Identity...There are some notable absences, the main one being Australian single Mistaken Identity, while tracks such as My Big Mistake and A Little Too Late are seen as obscure choices...the album also features two new tracks, Never Fades Away and Flawed...here is the album cover and tracklisting:

1. Born To Try
2. Lost Without You
3. A Little Too Late
4. Last Night On Earth
5. Flawed
6. Almost Here

Together We Are One Chart Update

After almost 3 months on the Australian charts Delta drops to No.20 this week with Together We Are One. This is really an amazing performance for a song written especially for the Commonwealth Games which finished months ago...Well done Delta...this weeks No.1 is still SOS by Rihanna!!!

Delta and Brian controversy?

Delta and her boyfriend Brian McFadden have been making waves in recent weeks in the UK and Australian press for a number of reasons, with many newspapers and sources blaming Brian for a supposed fall in Delta's career...Many have questioned whether this loving and professional relationship could be harming Delta's music and image and some people have criticised the star for siding with Brian over her family. Of course I give my support to Delta in all of her decisions-she's had an extraordinary career so far anyway!!!

Together We Are One makes impressive chart start!!!

Delta's new single has flown into the Aria top 50 at an impressive No.2, the debuting position of quite a few of her biggest hits!!! Much higher than her last single, A Little too late which could only make No.13...its great for Delta considering the Commonwealth Games are now a distant memory...Last week's No.1 in Australia, Forever Young by Youth Group fell past Delta to No.3 while Flaunt It by TV Rock returned to the top...

Together We Are One remixed...

Delta's new single has been remixed by production team Sterling in the form of a 'Celebration remix'. Anyone living in Australia can request the song on the Hot 30...get voting!!!

Together we are one hits the shelves in Australia

On Saturday 1st April, (no its not an April Fools joke), Delta unleashed her Commonwealth games song to the Australian public. Together We Are One was penned by Delta, Guy Chambers and Brian McFadden and looks set to return Delta to the Australian top 10 after the relative flop of A Little Too Late in mid-2005...Fans launched a petition to get this released and Sony clearly listened. It comes with the b-sides Last Night on Earth and Fragile live, though many fans are unhappy with this choice claiming that perhaps tracks such as Never fades away could have been a better choice. But then again, could that fabulous song be wasted as a b-side only status...

New Delta Interview

A new interview with Delta filmed shortly after her Commonwealth games performance is available to watch at www.deltagoodrem.c

The singer thanks her fans and forum friends. But don't take my word for it-see it for yourself here

Music Zone UK offer: Innocent Eyes deluxe for £2.99

Any UK Delta fans might feel a tad disheartened at the moment at the lack of releases in the UK. Hopefully the forthcoming 3rd album will make it to the UK shores. Until then, head down to Music Zone (found in most major towns and cities-formerly MVC) where you can get a great bargain. The deluxe edition of Innocent Eyes with the full 32 page lyric booklet and DVD featuring 2 music videos and making of's is available for only £2.99. I got my copy of this rare release so make sure you get yours!!!

Delta's career back on track?

The following article appeared in an Australian newspaper in the last week of March 2006. It details how Delta's apparently fading star has become bright again thanks to the Commonwealth performance...see for yourself...

'It's a question hanging around music circles this week - is Delta Goodrem the hapless victim of tall poppy syndrome, forced to endure the pitfalls of fame in Australia?

Some music commentators, no doubt inspired by Goodrem's powerful Commonwealth Games performance (which was indeed impressive), have come out fighting on the singer's behalf, saying she has suffered an unfair amount of negativity and deserves better.

The truth is quite different to that. Goodrem has long had the overwhelming support of the Australian public and media.

People adored her first album, felt incredibly upset and sympathetic when she was diagnosed with cancer and have been inspired by the singer's courage in the face of genuine adversity. There's no denying her extraordinary talent and lovely, down-to-earth nature.

But there was one major hiccup in Goodrem's music career: her second album, Mistaken Identity, did not strike the same emotional chord with audiences as her first, Innocent Eyes. Sales didn't go close to the first album. That had nothing to do with a public backlash, but more to do with bad judgement inside the recording studio.

Hopefully, judging by the response to Goodrem's Commonwealth Games performance and the genuine pandemonium at her underwear launch in Sydney last week, the singer is headed back in the right direction when it comes to keeping fans interested.'

Delta to break America?

Delta has already started her American promotion with the first US single Lost Without You already proving a hit on the airwaves. The album Born To Try, supposedly a mixture of tracks from Innocent Eyes and Mistaken Identity and some bonus new material looks set for release later in the year!!! Good luck to Delta!!! A new album for release in Australia and the UK should be ready in time for next year should she be successful in the US!!!

Be Strong and Visualise Tour head for release

Delta has confirmed that her next single and 5th from the platinum album Mistaken Identity will be the uplifting ballad Be Strong, due for release in mid September, while the DVD of the Visualise tour 2005 will be available in Australia from late October. Both of these releases are expected to be big sellers, with her first DVD Delta selling thousands of copies after peaking at #1 in Australia and reaching the top 15 in England!!!

Concerts Go Well

Delta has recently completed her Visualise 2005 tour, singing many of her huge hits including a few exclusives such as a cover of Westlife's UK No.1 hit Flying Without Wings along with Brian McFadden who also of course joined her for the huge hit Almost Here!!! The concert will be released on DVD in October with a documentary and special features!!!

Delta decides not to release in the UK

After the UK media turned on her after her relationship with Brian McFadden, Delta confirmed to Channel 4 magazine Ace that she would not be releasing A Little Too Late in the UK but only Australia and Germany. UK Fans have feared that the record company has prompted this decision and it could affect her UK career in the long run. If she wants to capitalise on the top 3 success of Almost Here then she should release a single soon...

A Little Too Low...

Delta's fourth single from Mistaken Identity has gone in at a lowly No.13 in the Australian chart having once been tipped for No.1. A Little Too Late which came with the b-sides If I Forget and The Riddle debuted at 13 while former No.1 Almost Here hangs around in the top 40 at No.31 falling 10 places. Meanwhile there is no sign of the album...Will this mean the last single off the album or will Deltz pick a stronger track for a 5th single...Although lets not rule out that it could climb...but Delta's strong fan base usually buy the singles in the first week...

50,000 Hits-Thank you all

This website has amazingly just racked up its 50,000th visitor (11th April 2005). I would like to personally thank everyone that has ever visited as it has all contributed for the success. This number of hits, easily puts it into the top 10 most popular Delta Goodrem sites on the internet, which I am very proud of, as I have made and maintained it myself, and it is a free website, so I have to work hard to promote it!!! Thanks again everyone, keep visiting and see if we can reach 100,000!!!

Almost Here spends 5th week in Australian top 3

After an amazing No.1 debut last month, Delta and Brian's Almost Here has clocked up its 5th consecutive week in the Aria top 3, dropping one place to No.3 this week with platinum sales across the continent of at least 70,000 sales. This has been no doubt helped by the b-sides Hollow no more and Turn you away. Delta remains the biggest non-reality TV star in Australia being beaten into the top 2 this week by Missy Higgins and Jesse McCartney!!!

A confusing move

In a somewhat odd turn of events, Mistaken Identity has returned to the UK single release schedule with a proposed release date of May 2nd, although there has not yet been any airplay or video play of the track, which is worrying as it is supposed to be out in just a couple of weeks!!! If this release date is followed, it will be in contention with releases from Akon, Eminem, Faith Evans and The Killers.

Speculation over UK releases

Mistaken Identity has been pulled from its April release in the UK, as it was thought that it may not do well, so instead Sony UK are looking to release a double A-side single in May, consisting of a new track, and either Mistaken Identity, Electric Storm or The Analyst, though A Little Too Late is also an option. This will be followed a week later by a repackaged album (as the current version has been deleted in the UK) including new tracks, possibly Nobody Listened and videos, which could help the album beat its current UK peak of No.25.

A Little Too Late confirmed for Oz

Track 5 on the album Mistaken Identity, A Little Too Late, has been confirmed as Delta's next Australian single, due for release around May. It is a fairly upbeat song, in the vein of Throw It Away, and looks to appeal to the Australian market who prefer these breezy pop songs to her more dramatic material such as Mistaken Identity, as seen by its recent No.7 placing and short chart run.

Almost Here debuts at No.1 in Australia

Delta has seen a return to form in Australia following the low top 10 placing of Mistaken Identity after her duet with former Westlife member Brian McFadden has shot straight to the top in her homeland. Backed with the b-sides Hollow No More and Turn You Away, the single surprised critics by debuting at the top, and pushed the album back up the ARIA charts as well. It also topped the chart in Ireland where it spent 7 weeks in the top 10!!!

Almost Here debuts in the UK chart at No...3

Delta's duet with Brian; Almost Here has surprised many critics by making its first week debut at No.3 Matching Delta's previous peak with Born To Try in the UK almost two years ago. Since then she has had three more top 10 hits, Lost without You (No.4), Innocent Eyes and Out of the blue (both No.9). Brian follows up a No.1 and a No.6, not forgetting 12 No.1's as part as Westlife!!! Eminem and Elvis Presley debuted above the duo, but they beat hits by Ashanti, Bloc Party, Ciara and Chemical Brothers!!!

Mistaken Identity rises up the UK chart

Delta's second album Mistaken Identity has seen a small turnaround in its fortunes in recent weeks. After debuting at No.25 and plummeting out of the top 75 quickly, despite selling over 100,000 copies in the UK and going Gold, the album re-entered a few weeks ago and has been steadily climbing currently at No.59 due to the Almost Here promotion amongst other things.

Delta and Brian are together

Almost Here stars Delta and Brian, have talked about their newfound relationship on UK TV shows CD:UK and Today with Des & Mel, by saying that they are an item and are in 'early days' of their relationship, 'hanging out and having fun' according to Delta. Though most people are happy for the couple however, some negative UK media are seeing it as a publicity stunt to promote the single, out now. The couple have racked up more glossy magazine front pages so far this year than anyone else, along with McFadden's ex Kerry.

Mistaken Identity hits the Australian top 10

The second Australian single and title track from Delta's 2nd album Mistaken Identity has debuted at No.7 in her native country. Though not yet matching the peak of her six consecutive No.1's from six releases, it is early days yet, and a debut that high in Australia is highly regarded. The single features the track and the enhanced video, and two exclusive B-sides; for more see discography.

Delta appears twice in the UK end of year chart

Delta has gone from strength to strength, appearing twice in the top 200 best selling albums of 2004. Following a No.16 position for Innocent Eyes in 2003 shifting 750,000 copies, the album sold a further 120,000 copies last year to bring its total nearer to a million and put it into the top 200 at No.163. Just a few places lower at No.175 was Mistaken Identity which despite only peaking at No.25 and being on sale for a few weeks, has gone gold and sold over 100,000 copies!!!

Delta debuts at No.25 in the UK

Delta's second album has entered at a respectable No.25 as the follow up to her 700,000 selling UK album Innocent Eyes. The star who released into a high selling albums market shifted over 25,000 copies of the album in its first week (Innocent Eyes shifted 35,000 in its debut week). With albums by U2, Eminem, Robbie Williams, Kylie and Gwen Stefani amongst those vying for the top spot its no surprise that she entered so low, though the sales would have got her to No.5 in the summer!!! The CD which came with an optional bonus DVD was released on November 22nd. Since its Australian release the CD has gone 3 X Platinum in three weeks!!!

Videos filmed for Almost Here and Mistaken Identity

Delta has filmed video clips for Almost Here, her duet with former Westlife star Brian McFadden and Mistaken Identity. The duet with Brian is likely to be her next UK single release, pencilled in for a March release, while the dramatic Mistaken Identity looks set to please Australian fans when released in early 2005. She aims to have her 7th consecutive native chart topper with the song!!!

Debut hits the top in Australia with Mistaken Identity

Delta's second album Mistaken Identity has made its Australian debut in pole position selling 50,000 copies in its first week and knocking Robbie Williams greatest hits collection down to the runners up position. The 14 track album features the Australian No.1 single Out of the blue and the forthcoming singles Mistaken Identity and Almost Here. Its predecessor Innocent Eyes shifted 40,000 copies in its first week and went on to shift over a million copies in her homeland becoming one of the biggest selling albums ever in the process.

Delta storms into UK top 10

Out of the blue, written by Guy Chambers and Delta has stormed into the UK top 10 at No.9 making it her 4th top 10 hit out of 5 releases. The song had some competition, releasing in the same week as Blue and U2 but managed to become the 3rd highest debuting song of the week. The single is available on 2cds all featuring bonus tracks. For more information visit the Discography section here.

Delta scores another Australian No.1

Delta has claimed her 6th consecutive Australian No.1 single out of 6 releases with Out of the blue. The song has had high demand and went straight into the top spot on its first week. Her first 5 singles, album and DVD have also gone to the top in her homeland. The single features new tracks, Visualise and Beautiful Madness and is the first to be lifted from her 2nd LP Mistaken Identity released in November!!!

Delta's New Single

Info on Delta's comeback single has finally been announced. Her new single 'Out Of The Blue' is due for release in Australia in mid-November and in the UK at the end of November.

Delta's New Album

Along with the news of her new single, Delta has announced that her comeback album will be called Mistaken Identity and should be available in November. It highlights Delta's darker edge and the songs focus on more gritty issues than the general happiness of her debut Innocent Eyes. Songwriters on the album include Guy Chambers who is most famous as Robbie Williams song writing partner, and Cathy Dennis who has written hit singles for Kylie Minogue and S Club.

Delta McFadden...

Delta has recorded a duet with Brian McFadden formerly of Westlife. The star, who has recently claimed a UK No.1 hit with his debut single Real To Me, said that he wrote a track and he felt Delta's voice would complement the song, which is how the duet came about. It will feature on his album and possibly Delta's and he says it will probably be the fourth single release from his album, so should come out in mid-2005!!!

Delta wins 3 awards

The Good Delta awards 2004 have just been announced, with Delta who won 10 last year walking away with a very respectable 3 awards this year after a year out of the limelight. She won Best Pop Song for Not Me, Not I, Best Album Ever for Innocent Eyes, and best B-side for Happy Xmas (War is over). Other big winners included The Corrs and Kelly Llorenna, but the main winner with a record breaking 11 awards was Sarah McLachlan. For the full list click here

Delta advertises Australia

A new advert advertsing Australia which lasts for about a minute has been released to television station across the world. However the Delta related feature is that she sings her own version of the classic song 'I can sing a rainbow' for the duration of the advert. Australia must be proud...

Good Delta gets an admirer

It seems as if this website has got an admirer. A new website called Delta (www.siteskins.com/delta) appears to have taken the majority of its information from this site, even my personal top 20 best Delta tunes ever seem to have made it onto this site. I'm glad I have made such a big influence on someone!!!

Congratulations to Delta who has recieved 4 nominations in this years APRA Music Awards. Innocent Eyes has recieved a nomination for 'Song of the Year'. Delta shows off new look at Logies

At the Logies in Australia this week, soap awards, Delta who turned up at the ceremony with Mark looked incredible with her new short brown hair, which is just one style she has tried since recovering from cancer. Again showing her fans that she is a role model to everyone!!!

Delta's the best dressed female

Delta won the best dressed female at the Logie's in Australia, for her roe in Neighbours as Nina Tucker. Delta who is shortly returning to the role, while also playing the lead in new movie Hating Alison Ashley, unfortunately did not win any other awards, as the gold logie for example, went to Rove McManus. Congratulations on your success Delta!!!

So thank you also to all of the people like you, who have visited this website, which is so popular that I enforce regular updates, to please everyone!!!'

Throw it Away not released in UK

It seems that the gamble of releasing Throw it away in the UK has not been taken, as the single moved off release lists and never appeared in shops. It was due out on March 15th but has now been either moved back again or deleted until further notice, or for good. The single would have been Delta's fifth in the UK, but because of the lack of promotion, no video to show and little radio airplay, Sony UK decided that the song would flop, so decided to delete it.

Throw it Away track listing revealed

Although there is much confusion over whether or not Delta will even release Throw it Away in the UK, if the planned release does go ahead on March 15th then this is the planned track listing:

2-Track CD

1. Throw it Away (True North Remix)

2. Throw it Away (Live)

Maxi CD

1. Throw it Away (True North Remix)

2. Not me, Not I (Steve Fitzmaurice remix)

3. Here I am (Piano/Cello version)

4. Throw it Away (Live video)

Delta to become a movie star

Delta is to star in a brand new film called Hating Alison Ashley. The star who is on the way to recovery after cancer treatment is to start shooting the film in Melbourne later on in the year. Delta's previous acting roles have included the hit soap Neighbours where she played Nina Tucker for over a year before taking a break.

Throw it away only for the UK

It seems that Delta's new single Throw it away will be a UK exclusive. It is not known if the Australian No.1 single Predictable will be included as a double-a side or as a b-side though. The release date of the single has also shifted backwards from 1st March to 15th March. No video has been planned for the single so but this has been confirmed as the final release from Innocent Eyes.

48 weeks on and still going strong

After a whopping 48 weeks on the Australian chart Innocent eyes moves down a mere two places from No.12 to No.14 although it is approaching a year on the countdown now. In the UK where her album has gone multi platinum, it remains in the top 100 for another week, making it one of the longest running albums on the chart in a few years!!!

Delta's romance

If only we could all have someone...Delta has started a high profile relationship with tennis star Mark Phillpoussis or 'The Scud' as he is known, who was in the final of the Wimbledon grand slam last year. The happy couple have shown affection to each other, and we at Good Delta and all of her fans wish them all the best for the future!!!

Controversy surrounds Predictable track listing

No-one knows what the B-sides will be on the UK release of Delta's 5th single Predictable. However, Here I am (Piano/cello) version may will probably appear. The UK has not had the Not me Not I instrumental either so that or another instrumental could appear. However, it could be that either I don't care or A year ago today (video version) could also be possible B-sides. This is just my theory so watch this space. Also the live version of Predictable from Channel [v] is almost certain to be featured along with the live video!!!

Delta Chart news

As Not me, Not I is at No.55 in the UK after 5 weeks, Predictable is at No.3 in Australia after reaching No.1 to make her the only artist to have 5 No.1 singles off one album. More good news in the UK is that her album has climbed from No.22 to No.14 and in Australia it has been revealed as the biggest selling album of 2003. In the UK end of year charts she came an impressive 16th!!!

Delta Chart news

Congratulations to Delta Goodrem, who has entered the UK chart at No.18 with Not me, Not I and the Australian chart at No.2 with Predictable. With her fourth and fifth releases of her album, Delta has managed a fourth UK top 20 hit in a very fickle market. In her native Australia, not only has Delta remained atop the album charts for a 27th week (a new record), but she followed Not me, Not I into its debut position of No.2, just behind Guy Sebastian, the winner of Australian Idol who remained at No.1.

Delta releases new singles simultaneously

Delta has released Not me, Not I in the UK and Predictable in Australia on the same day. The UK release features two CD's of which you can see in the discography. The Australian release comes out on three limited edition picture discs.

Delta breaks Australian charts record

Delta has broken John Farnham's record for most weeks on top of the Australian chart. With 26 weeks (equalling half a year) at No.1, and even beating Kylie Minogue, the Australian singer has done her country proud, with this landmark album!!!

Awards success

Delta's won 10 more accolades at the latest Good Delta awards. In the 2003 awards she won almost everything that she was nominated in, including best album, best single and best female, amongst others. To see a full list of winners click Here

Delta gains climbs up the UK album chart

Being the longest running album inside the top 20, isn't enough for Delta, as she moves back up two places to No.15 this week. Why? No-one knows, it's just a yo-yoing process. Reasons could be Neighbours promotion, forthcoming single, or word of mouth increasing, but this massive platinum album is outperforming all expectations.

Delta takes home a record 7 ARIA's

The Australian success was able to visit the ARIA's although she couldn't perform, so Darren Hayes performed his rendition of her native No.1  hit Lost without you. The singer picked up a record seven awards, beating the previous record set by fellow Neighbours actress Natalie Imbruglia. She took home Highest selling single and album for Born to try and Innocent eyes. Other awards included Best New Artist Single, for Born To Try; Best New Artist Album, for Innocent Eyes, Single Of The Year for Born To Try, Best Pop Release for Innocent Eyes, Best Female Artist, Channel V Oz Artist Of The Year and Video Hits Video Of The Year for Innocent eyes. Unfortunately best album went to Powderfinger, but Delta deserved these 7 awards thoroughly, so well done Delta!!!

Australian chart success for Delta

As the album Innocent eyes retains the No.1 spot and adds to its sales as the biggest selling album of the year, Not me, Not I, the fourth single release off the LP has gone up to No.1 in the singles chart after entering at No.2 last week. She has therefore become the first artist ever to have her first four singles reach the top in Australia. She has beaten competition this week from former No.1's Dido and Black Eyed Peas and rising songs from Nelly & P Diddy and Chingy.

UK Chart success for Delta

Innocent eyes, the album has just gone platinum spending over three consecutive months in the top 20 and to add to that it has risen again, this time from No.16 to No.13. Innocent Eyes the single, has surpassed expectations and given the star her third consecutive top 10 hit, as it went straight in at No.9, despite no promotion.

Delta's ARIA's nominations success

Delta's latest single 'Innocent Eyes' is out now, and in what has been nothing short of an extraordinary rise to the top of the Australian music community, Delta has emerged as a bona-fide heavyweight with a staggering 10 nominations for the 17th Annual ARIA Awards. She becomes the first female artist in the history of the ARIA Awards to receive so many nominations in a single year. She also becomes the first artist to be nominated with three different songs in the Highest Selling Single category.

Message From Delta...

Hi Everyone,

I hope this note finds you all well and happy (no sadness allowed - only positive thoughts). Firstly, I want to apologise for the way you found out about my illness last week. There was no easy way to let people know and it was all so quick. I was trying to come to terms with the news myself, so I'm sorry.
Big thanks, hugs & kisses to everyone for your amazing and overwhelming love & support for me and my family. I am so lucky to have you all with me at this time. You are so wonderful & a huge source of strength for me . Thank you for your beautiful book of get well wishes, your presents and cards, and for all your positive affirmations. It has been the brighter side of the last week.

As you know the diagnosis is Hodgkins Lymphoma. I am very fortunate that we have discovered it early and I am going to be OK. I will have to undergo chemotherapy followed by a course of radiation therapy over the coming months. While this is obviously not going to be much fun, I also know there are so many others in the world worse off than me. I have a second chance and I will fight this disease and get better. There has been so much media coverage this week, and there is obviously more interest because I am well known. The media have been very supportive, and I understand that they are just doing their jobs, but there are many more people out there that are silently suffering with many illnesses. A positive part of all the media coverage has been the raised public awareness of exactly what Hodgkins disease is, and that it can strike anyone.

All being well, I will be out & about in no time, and hope to keep achieving some of my goals throughout my treatment.

I'm a strong believer that everything happens for a reason, and I am determined that good things will come as a result of this challenge. You know that I often say that I'm an optimist and I don't see the point in being anything else, so please stay positive and happy.

I will try and keep you up-to-date as often as possible.

Bye and thanks for everything .

Lots of love, Delta.
