Real Me

Every time I look in the mirror
I see someone who I’m not
Someone who is pretending to be something
To make you happy
Someone who doesn’t want you to leave
Because I showed the real me
Someone who holds your burden inside
To keep you from it
Someone who was blinded by love and didn’t realize it
But now that I’m gone
I see what I have done
And finally I can be the
Real me
