Sandcastle

I cant lie to you anymore
I am still trying
To make you do something
You just cant
Fear of commitment
No trust in yourself
Two major problems
Left untouched

I’ve tried so hard
For far far too long
To see what I have
And what I wanted slip away
Like the receding tides
We are all like little children
Building sand castles in the sand
Putting all our hope
That our castle will stand forever

But each wave has it course
All we can do is sit and watch the sand
From our once mighty sandcastle
Recede back into the sea from witch it came
To fade away
To seem like nothing was there
But to that little child
Who built that mighty castle in the sand
It will stand forever
Within him
In his thoughts and in his dreams
