Day after day I try,
To be as nice as I can,
To hold back the tears as I cry,
And show that I'm a man.

I want to be your friend,
To be there for you always,
To have it never end,

But nothing seems to work,
All you do is reject me,
Am I being a jerk?
Or are you playing "hard to get me?"
