A few of the basics. This league will be similar to the SFL and old IFL but will incorporate what I call "save me from myself" protections. The SFL currently allows a franchise to trade future picks out as far as an owner wants. The problem is that the drive to win now at all costs cannot be curbed and a franchise can be wrecked. If the owner of a wrecked franchise leaves it would be necessary to treat the occasion as an expansion and have some type of partial draft. This goes against the concept of a dynasty league with a fixed number of teams so it is a problem and must be corrected. Experience has taught me that fixing a league that contains bad owners can only be done by leaving and starting a new league.
This will be a 12 team league that does not use individual defensive players. The scoring will be simple but there may be one or two changes from the current SFL system. The roster and reserve system will be similar but the

cuts will be deeper and the draft longer. This modification will help the weak at the expense of the strong and make it possible for a franchise to turn around faster.
Application for franchise ownership is open to everyone on the planet but I will pick and choose who I want on the basis of what is in the best long term interest of the league. Once a core group is awarded franchises a commissioner will be selected. I will maintain the website, including the league management software, so the commissioner's job is less taxing on a daily basis but still extremely important. The commissioner handles operational harmony, I will handle operation efficiency.
