As an audition observer and participant for over 20 years, I have noticed time and time again that many people have never been instructed in the best way to present themselves at an audition. I have seen more than a fair share of talented people walk away without roles simply because they had a poor showing at auditions. After making notes to myself over the years, and after having read many books on the topic, I have come up with several observations that I believe would help first time (and 90th time) auditionees present themselves to their best advantage. A good audition is comprised of three main points: Be prepared; Be presentable; Be personable.
