Nick Rogers of the State Journal-Register said: "Only The Grinch himself could have left THE CHRISTMAS SONGBOOK and said he wasn't satisfied with the yuletide tunes he heard. More than 40 standards, comedic spoofs and new songs were heard in director/star Gus Gordon's revue, which played to a capacity matinee crowd."
Maggie Boswell of the State Journal-Register said: "The cast is A-list all the way, as are most of Gus Gordon's shows. Even those of us who have seen it before get a full quota of enjoyment, just from the voices, presence and antics of (the cast)."
"Audiences come to see Gus Gordon's annual CHRISTMAS SONGBOOK because it is familiar, cozy and very enjoyable. This show is the most fun you can have during the Christmas season."
