Now and again, it seems prudent that I set some goals for myself:
I will go to all my classes this week. I will be more mindful of my cell phone minutes. (Surely it's not impossible.) I will get in touch with long-lost friends. I will have my oil changed every 3500 miles.
I will spend an hour a day writing. (No editing, just writing.) This, of course, I must do before 2 AM, since I will be in bed by midnight.
I will not procrastinate. I will complete projects days before the deadline!
I will keep a fastidiously neat bedroom. It will serve as a beacon of cleanliness amidst the wreckage that is apartment 1204!
I will eat more broccoli! More spinach! I will eat less chocolate! Drink less beer!
I will run five miles a day!
I will earn a 4.0 GPA! For the first time since high school!
Funny. I could sum it up in a simpler, all-inclusive statement:
I will be more responsible.
Then again, I prefer to make my goals attainable. Otherwise, what's the point?
