FW vs slave

I wish to state first, that in no way do I presume to speak for all FW. (and I'm sure I'll take a lot of heat for these comments) This is merely one FW's opinion.

"In every woman," said Ute, "there is a Free Companion and a slave girl. The Free Companion seeks for her companion, and the slave girl seeks her Master."..... Captive of Gor... P83.

The FW wants to be recognized as an intelligent, thinking, being whose thoughts are respected and valued. She needs to feel free to give voice to those thoughts without fear of punishment simply because she does not agree. She fights for the right to make her own decisions and is strong enough to stand behind them (or answer for them). She is strong, and proud and fiercely independent, answering to no one but herself.

The slave exists solely to please. Her entire being is funneled into pleasing One. Her whole focus is on One. Her own needs become completely dependent upon His. His pleasure is her joy. His anger is her devastation.

Both of these exist in the heart of every woman. How many slaves can honestly say that they have not on occasion wished to be free for a time. Even just for an instant when they stifled their own desire to speak up or to act. But they did not... because they are slave. And how many FW can honestly say that a moment did not pass when they wished just for an instant to shed the burdens of responsibility and not think... not carefully consider every move... but simply Be. That they have never loved another who's pleasure became their foremost concern. The desire to please the One you love is as natural as breathing.

And yet.... while FW find freedom in being able to act as we will, we are still bound within the laws and expectations of society. And while the slave finds freedom from responsibilities in the collar, they are still bound within their station.

Perhaps.... just perhaps... it is when we are able to express both sides of our hearts that then... and only then... are we ever truly Free.

I wish you well,

D
