Hello punters, here you will find the latest on your
favourite band. So remember to check back here every so often to
find out the latest on the fellas.

July 31 2001 Well I'm sad to say in the Last week of Choke we have some bad news, its seems as though the band's Farewell and Sod Off All-ages show has been cancelled. Don't quote me on this, but I have heard rumours that the reason it has been cancelled has been some bad behaviour at recent all ages gigs, in particular the Frenzal Romb gig at the Grosvenor. Now I saw the said incident at the Frenzal gig and I swear to any of you little poser teeny boppers that were involved, I know who you are and you better hope you don't run into me again. You have just spoiled it for everyone else. Of course I could be wrong about the reasoning behind the cancellation, these are just rumours I have heard. Still that behaviour was just poor form. Anyway the Licenced show is still a goer, so all you kids hanging out to see Choke for the last time, get yourself a fake I.D. and head on down with the rest of us for a pearler of a gig this Saturday. All the details you need are below. I'll see ya there.

May 14 Well people I have the news that all Choke fans have been dreading, our favourite porn fiends Choke have decided to call it a day. According to Glenn the band have been having to much trouble with their drummer problems and have decided that the band can't go on. Glenn also plans on putting together another band to keep alive seedy metal in Perth, so punters keep your eyes peeled for a band called, wait for it.....Cuntscrape. Firm Meaty Chunks will still be going strong and hopefully it will have its own website soon enough as well as a hard copy version in the near future. Make sure you look out for it. Remember to get FMC delivered to your e-mail address e-mail the man behind it all Spicy Dysie at gmdyson@optusnet.com.au. The boys are hoping to have a fuckin huge farewell show to go out on. Keep tuned here for the details when they come about. And to finish up I want all you punters out there to sign this guestbook thing here and voice your opinion on all things Choke and or Porn, lets give the fellas a send off they deserve, big, wet and smelly. Till next time keep crackin the fat!!
April 18 G'Day fellow Choke punters, I'm back bigger and fatter than ever. Well just the one peice of news so far from the land of Choke, it looks like the pressure got to the new guy. That's right the newest member of the Choke camp drummer Merim has called it quits already. And to quote Glenn, "We are all going to bash him when he gets back from Europe for completely fucking us around." They have a temporary replacement in Mind's Eye drummer Matt. And make sure you all go and see the boys at their next show on Friday May 11th at the Raffles Hotel as a part of the next Metalfist gig. Should be a tops night. Until next time, Tell your Mum she was great the other night.
March 10 I'm getting better at updating this more often aren't I? Anyway in to the Choke shit. Man am I ever a tool, the boys aren't touring our wide brown land in March like I said, the tour is likely to take place in May. So all you punters over in the eastern states I expect you to be out in force when Choke hits you part of the world. Right now for us lucky Perth punters the boys will be playing their 100th show on Saturday 24th of March at the Grosvenor Back Room. It should be a huge night so get into it and show your ugly mugs at the gig. Well thats all for now, until next time (that will be whenever I can be bothered to pull my finger out) Take it Sleazy.
February 26 Well lets get straight into it hey people. I'll try and clear up what you want to know with Choke's national tour. From what I have gathered the band will be floating about in March stopping in on such places like Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, and Brisbane. I'll get more information concerning this to you as soon as I get the information. Also some interesting news. It seems our boys are rubbing a few people up the wrong way with their CD inlay for Smokin' Tailpipe Action. Yep it continues, this time the fellas were threatened with legal action for supposedly ragging off a Perth music industry identity on the now famous CD inlay. After some friendly talks with our man Spicy Dysie everthing was sorted out. To avoid any legal battles the said identity will be black marked from the CD. Alrighty, and now for some gig dates, get some Metal in ya. On Friday 2nd March Choke will be playing the Raffles Hotel with Skint, Firefox, Maximum Perversion, Plague and Enforce, as well as the Barbarellas girls who will have some very nice giveaways, should be interesting. On Saturday 3rd March at the Grosvenor Backroom Choke will be playing along with Kretin, Scythian, Malice Unity and Enforce. Get it inta ya. Choke will also have their 100th show celebration on Sat 24th March at Grosvenor Backroom & will feature a 10 - 12 band metal extravaganza. More details later. Until next time punters, Get A Fist.
February 20 Hello Choke punters, yes, yes, I know you've all missed me during my absence and I apologise for the lack of updates on the site recently, but I'm here now aren't I. Well into all things Choke, well its a case of out with the old in with the new. Choke's drummer Lee is no longer with the band and in his place comes the very skilled Merim the ex-drummer for another local band called Centaur, and I tell you now folks after seeing him at the last gig down in Rockingham he is a very worthwhile replacement. But wait there's more, the eargerly awaited follow up to "Smokin' Tailpipe Action" should be heading our way very shortly. And from what I've gathered from the boys its going to be called "Greatest Clits Volume 1, The Definitive Collection". So expect more songs of depravity and disgust coming your way shortly. I have also been told that the fellas from Choke will be releasing a home video, which will showcase Choke in their first ever porno flick, as well as other Choke related footage. Also look out for the July / August issue of Penthouse which may feature an interview with your favourite Perth metalers. And I know all of you only read that sort of stuff for the informative articles anyway. There's still more... The boys from Choke were all lined up to tour this wide brown land in support of top Aussie band Blood Duster (if you don't know who this band is I suggest you educate yourself in this matter very quickly) but unfortunately Blood Duster have decided not to go ahead with the tour. But if your a lucky West Aussie like myself you can still see Choke along with The Dirty Whittler support Blood Duster at an all ages gig at the Grosvenor Backroom on Saturday 24th of February, Make sure you get down and support some great Australian Metal, and you can look out for me, I'll be the one in the Choke shirt trying to create a mosh pit at the front. But if you are an interstate punter looking for some Smokin' Tailpipe Action from Choke, never fear I have been informed that the band plan on touring around the eastern states around March or May, they've even told me that they may be supporting Alchemist at some point in Canberra, they rattled off more bands and places that they may play, but being the dumbarse that I am I forgot after a few coldies. But as soon as I get the word I will pass it along. And if the above information turns out to be utter bullshit don't send your death threats to me, I'm just telling you what I hear from the band. And before I leave you, if you haven't put your name on the Firm Meaty Chunks mailing list, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING DICKHEAD!!! Its a tops read with all the current info you need on the Perth metal scene as well as getting you Choke updates straight from the horses mouth, so get off your arse and e-mail Glenn at gmdyson@optusnet.com.au. Well until next time, keep yor hands off it or it will fall off!
October 22 G'Day again Well I have spent a bit of time fixing up the site, and now there are actually some great links on the links page, so check it out. Anyway onto news for the band. The boys at Choke are organising regualar on-line newsletter to be put out every 4 weeks or so called "FIRM MEATY CHUNKS", this will help to keep all you punter up to date on all the Choke goss. If you are interested in this little newsletter contact Glenn at gmdyson@optusnet.com.au. Also the band are trying to organise a promo gig at the Grovsner Back Room on Nov 4, it should be an all-ages, licensed gig with some Soulfly Give aways. Stay tuned here for more details as they come to hand. Anyway, until next time keep it METAL.
September 16 Yeah, yeah I know I've been a little slack with this section, but hey I'm a busy man. Well the lastest from the Choke camp. The boys are rounding up their last couple of gigs for the moment after their supurb performance at the Kiss My WAMI's. It seems Gav is heading off to Europe for a while to sort out his eating disorders and after that the fellas will finally be heading off to the eastern states of Australia to shake their groove thing after they had to cancel the last time when Glenn broke his wrist after a poor attempt at the "People's Elbow". And yes their CD is still banned but you can still pick up the cleaned up version through the band or good record stores. And on the subject of their CD, it seems it has been gaining a bit of attention from overseas in. There have been expresions of interest in distributing in Germany, France, USA, Brasil and Indonesia.
May 30 Well some stuffy arsed guys in suits decided that Chokes music was not to thier liking and though no one else should like it, so have a guess what they did, they have banned Choke's CD Smokin Tailpipe Action. Which means that the CD is now actually illegal as of May 8 2000. My main problem with this is how can a couple of old codgers sitting around on thier arse in a room decide what we should and shouldn't listen to. I personally find music by Brittany Spears or Celine Dion more offensive, hearing that crap makes me want to top myself. Anyway if any of you punters have purchased the CD and are now shitting yourself the band will be happy to exchange your now illegal CD for a more toned down version. Cause if your caught in possession of the CD you could face a $15,000 fine or 18 months in one of our states lovely penitentiaries. If you want to support the band and our freedom to listen to what we want send letters of support to gmdyson@optusnet.com.au or sign the petitions at Dada's, 78 Records or at their gigs. Or tell me what you think at: smcleish@iinet.net.au But why listen to me have a read what Choke actually think of the whole deal with the letter to Xpress Magazine, or the report in the Sunday Times Newspaper Read the Letter Click Here Read the Report Click Here
