ANARAZEL

Lord Maakryth (vocals); Morturus (drums); Asheron (bass); Valak (guitar)

Screaming Melbourne black metal unit which began life as a Slayer cover band! At this time Maakryth was also a guitarist and the band had no specialist singer, although this soon changed as Anarazel's style evolved. The band's demo was issued soon after the departure of bassist Zoltan. In early 1999, Anarazel released an EP titled "Rise of the Tempest" with Maakryth taking on bass duties as well as the vocals. The arrival of Valak, Assasyn (bass) and Malleus (guitar) into the line-up allowed for live playing and made them an even more intense proposition. Anarazel is now a four piece again due to the departure of Assasyn and Malleus, with the former having been replaced by ex-Very, Very Dead and Gory and Portrayal member Asheron.
