DEZAKRATE

Ash Armstead (vocals); Andrew Lean (bass); Dean Engert (guitar); Darren Bennetts (drums); Simon Sacco (guitar)

Slow and pounding thrash with raw death metal vocal grunts is Dezakrate's way of making noise. Formed in Melbourne in 1995, the band worked gradually to developing a sound which broadly mixes contemporary thrash styles with elements of thunderous death metal. Since the rather raucous but promising first album, the band has matured and progressed into a genuine prospect and after completing a video for the track "Tranatas" which was instantly banned, recorded a second album after Sacco left the band in 2001. That album is only available as a download from their website.
