Jed Starr (guitar); Big Bird (vocals, guitar); Snuff (bass); Oxx (drums)

With Mortal Sin, Massive Appendage were at the forefront of the national thrash metal scene in the last half of the 1980s. The band tore through high quality intricate speedy thrash metal with a high degree of satirical humour while various members were concurrently also members of King's Cross and Fester Fanatics. By the time the band was able to fund and release their long-awaited album however, the first wave of Australian extreme metal had lost much of its impetus and Massive Appendage fell apart. Starr went on to join Killing Time shortly afterwards. Drummer and reknown metal scene artist Oxx died in the mid-1990s.
