THE TEMPEST, Shakespeare's last great romance, follows the banished Duke Prospero (played by Barry Ford*) through fathering his daughter Miranda (played by Sarah Kassen) on an enchanted island, taking vengeance on his enemies there, and learning forgiveness from his attending Spirit Ariel (played by Katie Merg.) Miranda and Ariel encounter a variety of colorful characters who are caught on Prospero's island by his storm -- the Tempest. The action culminates in the unmasking of Prospero to the lords who had banished him, and order is restored with the promise of calm seas back to the court in Italy.
Featured in the cast are Chris Brady as Caliban and Gonzalo, Paco Tolson as Ferdinand and Stephano, Jonathan Chase as Sebastian and Trinculo. The cast also includes Ilana Powers and Dana Levin. Katherine Peter Kovner is the assistant director.
