Dorothy Edwards

Miss Edwards joins the school in September 1935. After the school is forced to leave Austria in 1938, she rejoins the school at Plas Howell. When the School Proper moves to Switzerland, she stays at Glendower House in England.

Subjects:
Miss Edwards is a Junior Mistress and teaches Junior Mathematics. She becomes Head of the Junior School in 1943. She is the Brown Owl of the Brownie Pack and is responsible for the School Bank in England. She is the Form Mistress of 2B in the Fall term of 1946, in charge of the Kindergarten in the fall term of 1947, and the Form Mistress of the 2nd Form in the winter term of 1948. In the fall term of 1948, she stays with St. Agnes’, the Kindergarten which moves to the mainland from St. Brival’s.

Among the staff, her nickname is Dollie or Dolly. Among the girls, she is Teddy

Appearance/Personality:
She is a small woman with a sharp tongue and fair hair. She is regarded as a tyrant to those girls who are untidy.

Notes:
In April 1943, she is involved in an accident which leaves her with a compound fracture of her right leg.
