Kathie Ferrars

Miss Ferrars joins the school in September 1951. Names:
Her full name is Kathleen. Among the girls, she is known affectionately as Ferry.

Subjects:
Miss Ferrars teaches Geography and Mathematics. She is the Junior Librarian and a staff member of St. Therese’s House. She is the Form Mistress of Inter 5 in 1951-1952 and the Form Mistress of 5B in 1952-1953. She is the Producer of the Pageants and Christmas Plays.

Family:
Kathie was born in 1929. Her parents died the day after she was born. Her guardians are her Aunt and Uncle Frank Grayson. Their home is in Cotswolds, England. She is Protestant.

Appearance/Personality:
She has brown hair and eyes. She is short to average height, small, and slight. She has fair colouring and a clear, musical and distinct voice. She has an iron will.

Notes:
Miss Ferrars attended St. Mary’s High and received her BA from Oxford.
The Chalet School is Miss Ferrars first posting.
She dislikes spiders.
She becomes great friends with Nancy Wilmot.
In the Fall of 1956, she collapses due to appendicitis.
