One of our honorees and participants is Louie Bonpua. Please learn more about Louie from our Honoree page. Also, check out Louie's website. If you haven't already done so, consider registering as a potential bone marrow donor. The Asian American Donor Program (AADP) is a community non-profit organization geared towards saving lives. Asians are desperately needed to register as potential marrow/stem cell donors. Many Asian children and adults with life threatening blood diseases need a stem cell transplant in order to survive. Their best hope for matched donors are those within their Asian community. You could be a "miracle match" and save a life by registering as a potential donor. The bone marrow drive calendar on the website is not completely up to date. I contacted AADP, obtained dates of upcoming drives, signed up for their mailing list, and registered as a volunteer. I hope you will join me! |
