There is a whole sub genre of CosPlay that imitates Japanese music groups. Within this variation, the CosPlay of VisRock bands is becoming very popular.
It has become so established that Vis-CosPlay has become a catagory at traditional CosPlay conventions, where only anime Cos had been presented before.

 The thing about VisRock-Cos is that it has a second life too, and that is as part of the street scene in Harajuku's "pedestrian paridise" where hordes of teenagers bring dance and performance and CosPlay onto the streets and into the park on the week-ends. -Back-
