The Past

Sitting in the car,
The motor really loud,
Barely hearing the music,
Thinking about my past lovers,
Who never understood my poetry,
Or appriciated it,
My tears fell like rain drops,
Feeling helpless in the shallow end,
The mystery of life devours me,
As I become confused of the world,
How could I stop time?
It's impossibe to bring back the dead,
Funny how the past has its way,
To scare you to your weary bones,
Send chills down your spine,
But thre was nothing I could've done,
I wasn't there when he drowned,
So how could I save him?
Being carelessly worthless,
All I can do is shed tears,
That becomes the ocean,
It's endless waters,
And it's mysterious ways.
