BATMAN MANGA ON THE WAY ?

A few years back, Cebulski told Newsarama about the storyline…"A Japanese news crew travels to Gotham to report on the mysterious legend of the Batman. And of course they end up running right into him. So far, in the series, Batman has encountered Two Face, the Penguin, the Riddler and the Joker, but none are the real deal. There is a new drug circulating through Gotham that makes average citizen think they are these villains from Batman's rogues' gallery. Bruce Wayne has also taken an interest in the Japanese female reporter Yuko Yagi.""

Half the story takes place in Gotham City, while the second half takes Batman to Tokyo.

YEAR ONE COMPOSER ?

-----------------------------

Comics2Film: Composer Clint Mansell, a frequent collaborator of director Darren Aronofsky has publicly stated that he would like to compose the score for Batman: Year One. However, he told the French Premiere magazine that, at this point, he has no real attachment to the project.

The director’s website Aronofsky.net ran excerpts from the recent interview. Mansell told the magazine, "It is great that they dare to entrust this project to a director like Darren. But unless they give him free reign, I think that the studio will want a composer more accustomed than me to this genre of film. But I would really like to do it."

Aronofsky.net also ran comments on the rumors which Mansell made on his own website. Mansell said, "There's a lot of excitement in the air regarding Batman Five - rumours everywhere. It's very exciting to be a part of those rumours, I must admit, but I really know nothing at this point so I can't pass comment."
