ANTHONY HOPKINS TO PLAY ALFRED ?
Well it's another fairly quite week on the Batman front. WB seemed to be saying that there would be no new press announcments on the upcoming BATMAN movie until the new year, then a rumor surfaces that Sir Anthony Hopkins may have been approached to play Alfred Pennyworth.
Now that's something I'd like to see.
Well Happy Halloween to our our readers today, and for readers in the UK, enjoy Bonfire Night next week.
As always have a good week and all the best.. - Alan J. Porter

BATMAN #620 SOLD OUT @ DC
(DC Comics Press
Release) BATMAN #620 sold out at DC Comics only three days after its in-store
date of October 22. This issue features the first chapter of the 6-part story "Broken
City" by the 100 BULLETS creative team of writer Brian Azzarello, artist Eduardo
Risso and cover artist Dave Johnson.
"It's so satisfying seeing this character and this team being so well-received by
readers," says co-editor Bob Schreck. "My hat's off to my co-editor Will Dennis,
Brian Azzarello, Eduardo Risso and the entire team for pouring their all into every page.
It shows, and hey, and it's only just begun! It only gets better from here, believe
me!"
"On behalf of the creative team, we couldn't be happier that the book is meeting with
this kind of response," says co-editor Will Dennis. "I was confident that the
team would deliver a story that could stand with anything in comics today - look no
further than 100 BULLETS for evidence of that - but it's always cool to have that
confidence rewarded in sales."
"We've had a phenomenal year with 'Hush,' and that momentum shows no signs of letting
up with the arrival of the new BATMAN team," says Bob Wayne, DC's VP - Sales &
Marketing

CATWOMAN UPDATES
Halle Berry has been doing the rounds of the talk shows and interviews to promote her new movie Gothika. But talk inevitably seems to soon turn to the subject of Catwoman. Comingsoon.net's Chuck the Movie Guy sat down to interview Halle Berry about her thoughts on the new feline flick, and posted the audio for your review. Sci-Fi Wire also has a Halle Berry interview where she says her Catwoman costume is "much more comfortable than my X-suit."
In an interview with the Canadian Jam Showbiz site Berry had the following to say:
"My Catwoman is fierce. She's not very nice. She's no pussycat. Hopefully people will love her and fear her." Again she made a point that her character was the latest in a line of Catwomen (the sixth she daid) who " puts her own wardrobe together. She has leather pants. She has a mostly bare top made of belts. She has a bandanna wrapped around her head with cat ears on it."
