THE 1998 ALFRED AWARDS
WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The 2nd annual "ALFRED AWARDS" were voted for
by BATMAN fans on the internet between November and December 1998. The awards
covered 20 categories and were limited to Batman comics issued with a 1998
cover date and Batman related toys and events from the past year.
The voting ballot was posted on the AOL Batman discussion
groups, the CompuServe Comics forum, the Batman related USENET discussion
groups, the GOTHAM WEEKLY NEWS newsletter and several Batman related websites.
The Alfreds are organized and administered by GOTHAM
GAZETTE - The BATMAN Magazine On The Web (http://members.aol.com/gothamajp).
The winners of the 1998 ALFRED AWARDS are given below and
the full results will be posted on the GOTHAM GAZETTE website in early
February.
