bubble wrap Extremely important stuff here. Is great to ship stuff in and works as a great toy. Very often people are more excited about the bubble wrap than anything else in the pack!
spider rings These are a great thing for Goodie Packs. Most people are overjoyed when they see them. But, word of advice, please note if your Goodie Pack recipient doesn't like spiders, it makes for quite an upset when they first open the package!
mix tape Mix tapes are great fun. They are a lot of fun to make and to get. It's a way to give something personal that you made just for that person. Awe, isn't that just so special?
candy, candy and more candy Sugar is always good. Some favorites include Fun Dip, Pixy Stixs, and suckers. When buying candy, look for stuff that you loved as a kid. (Actually, this is a good rule for getting anything for a Goodie Pack.)
toys This is just as important as the bubble wrap. The simpler the toys the better, such as, Silly Putty, Play-Doh, yo-yos, puppets and anything else you can find. My favorite aisle when I shop is what I call the "junk toy" aisle, where they have all the cheap, but very cool toys. I have recently come across a toy store that sells wind up toys. besides making my life a whole lot better, they work great for Goodie Packs. They had the wind up toys we used to have as children, like the turltes that swim in the bathtub. I have since gained an entire collection of wind up toys, but they work great for Goodie Packs too! |

The road trip Goodie Pack Add spice to your road trips with a Goodie Pack for the road!! Should include many of the regular necessities such as toys, mix tape, and candy. Bubble wrap would be fun, but could be awfully loud in a car and you don't want to scare the driver! Also include a magic 8 ball for all your important decisions. Mad libs for that "intellectual" kind of fun. And of course, puppets. Puppets are great fun on a road trip, they can help you drive, dance with the music, annoy passengers in your car, and of course scare other drivers on the road (this is allowed, cuz they are not driving your car). A new game that I created on a recent solo road trip was the treasure hunt game. While driving, you can look through your car for stuff that you have lost or new things to play with. Note: this game works best if you live out of your car and don't clean it out alot.
Ideas from Kait's Goodie Pack I recently received a Goodie Pack from my friend Kait, which really make my day! She had some great new ideas that I wanted to share. She sent a fairy princess crown made up of star garland (one of my faves!) aromatherapy oils, bookmark, and candles amongst other things. Another great idea that she did was make little tags for everything explaining what they were and how they should be used! Those really made the package even better!
Holiday Goodie Packs For this past holiday season, I made Goodie Packs for my camp family. The original idea was just for a set of runes, then on a recent trip to the local book haven of my choice, I had come across the Nightmare Before Christmas hardcover books for a mere 2 bucks!! Hence that had to be added to it. I also added in holiday chocolates, candy canes and a card.
Party Goodie Packs Just recently, okay...today, I put together two goodie packs for some friends. I had put in some party hats, funky silverware, straws, and party blow-outs (left over from my halloween party) so that they could have a little party for two on me. Use this with the candy, toys and mix tape. Instant party! |
