Sometime in 1990 This was my first ghostly experience. My friend had told me that she had two ghosts living in her attic. I was curious about them, becuase I had never seen or heard any ghosts before, but was still not sure about if they really existed or not. One night we were in the living room of her house when she very quietly said to look at the stairs. And there we saw two children dressed in victorian style clothing walking up the stairs. My jaw must've hit the floor, I was in complete awe.
Sometime after that, we had taken a polaroid picture of a friend standing on the stairs, and in the corner of the picture, you could see the corner of the little girls dress. I wish I knew who has that picture now! |

Sometime in 1992 (I think....) I spend the night at Jen's old house, and was laying on the floor almost asleep. The door was left open a bit so the dog and cat could get through. I glanced through the door and saw a bright light on the living room wall. At first I thought that someone was turning around because they were the last house on a dead end street. Then realizing that unless the car was in the field, it would be impossible to refract that much. With all options gone, I freaked and shut the door, not caring about the dog or cat. The next morning I told Jen about what I saw, so she stayed up that night, waiting for the light. And she was not disappointed, she also saw it, freaked and closed the door. After discussing this with her parents, we found that others who had slept on the couch had seen a bright figure hovering about the archway which faces the wall I saw. |

1996 - present In 1996, Jen's parents moved to a different house. Not soon after were we introduced to the resident ghosts. There is a little girl who died in the house due to illness, and an old man (not sure how he died) who likes to move furniture in the attic that doesn't exist. After moving in, Jen heard the little girl picking up her things and putting them back down again. She had also recieved a hug from her one night when she was very depressed.
One night I was sleeping on the couch, when I heard what sounded like a party on the deck. This lasted most of the night. Their ghosts love the rain, so whenever it rains, they have a party on the deck. It sounds like there are real people out there. The next morning when I woke up, their cat was sleeping on my feet. I looked up at it, and when it moved, I saw another black cat sitting at the end of the couch. When I told Jen and her cousin, I found that the cat "belonged" to her cousin and followed her wherever she goes. The next night, when I was on the same couch, I felt the cat lay down on my side and could hear it purr, when I moved my arm to touch it, there was nothing there, even though I could both feel and hear it.
Another rainy night, I stayed in Jen's room (cuz the party on the deck was keeping me up). I was in that sleepy state, where you are not alseep, but not completety awake either. At that state I realized I was play patty-cake with a little girl, when I opened my eyes, my arms were up in the air, but no little girl.
Just recently, Jen had her graduation party. Her family knew the house was haunted and was really freaked out about it. As we were in the dining room ready to eat, a carrot flew off the veggie plate and fell to the floor. Her cousins were in shock. I tried to offer them the carrot, but when I walked towards them with it the screamed and jumped back. During the party, I had left my purse in Jen's room. A few days later she handed me a picture asking if it was mine. It was a picture of my baby cousin. She said that she had found it next to my tv laying face down. Which is an odd place for it, had it fallen out of my purse, which again, impossible since it was in a zipped pocket. Due to conclusions, we decided that the little girl went through my purse and took the picture. Little thief! j/k |
