RUN REPORT

Run no 50 The Birthday Run

On 19/4 we gathered at ShavenBottoms in Kallebäck for our 50th run of the Gothenburg Hash House Harriers. It was also to celebrate Shaven Bottoms birthday.

The Hashers on this special occasion were ShavenBottom, Swinging Tits, Jerk Off, Sprimp Spew, Total Wanker, Trial Walker, Hairy Nuts and Dancing King with their baby Just Embla, Cock Sweller and 2nd time hashers Just Gabriella and Just Shaven B aunt and the virgin Just Raimo.

The run took place in the southern parts of Delsjön Nature reserve. Starting in Kallebäck it was uphill for about 3 km. On the way we passed 3 historic sites. First we came to Kallebäcks Källa, the freshwater well that served Gothenburg with drinking water for 2 centuries. Then we came to the old Cholera Cemetary and next to it the iron age grave of King Ring. Continuing uphill we passed Delsjöns golf course. Finally we came to the top and took a left into Delsjön. We followed the trail going along lake Stora Delsjön and the trail goes both uphill and downhill along the lake. We crossed an inlet of the lake on a floating bridge and after some more uphill we came to the beerstop with a great view of the lake and surronding woods. Continuing along the lake we came to the beach were we turned left again. Going on we passed the golf course again. On this nice and sunny day many golfers were out playing so you had to watch out for flying golfballs. Luckily we made it through ok. Then it was downhill again towards the OnIn in Kallebäck were we had the circle.

Being there for the 50th run all of us had a DownDown beer. DownDowns were given out for example walking with walking poles as being technical stuff. After closing the circle we celebrated by having a sandwich smorgåsbord with all kinds of good stuff and delicouos strawberry cakes made by Shaven Bottom.
