Soul
A dark and desolate place in my soul
A fortress of cold hard steel
Erected by own will
The key discarded and hidden
Slowly, curiosity risen
The fortress, what did it hold?
Search and search for an answer
Always it eluded, just out of reach
Looking, but not seeing, I found
The key right where I would
Not have dared
Seized and captured the fortress fell
And I saw the sight I most feared
Myself, shackled and chained, alone
Once freed alone no more
Now I am whole and yet unsure
Only time will heal my wounds
And integrate my soul
The Game
Here I am! Come and find me!
There I stand, with him behind me
Here you are, proud and tall
There I go, down the hall!
Here I am! Come and find me!
There he stands, the one behind me
It's him you'll ask, if he's seen me
While I stand by watching scenery!
Here I am! Come and find me!
There I stand, worries behind me
Here you come, worries galore
There I go, out the back door!
Here I am! Come and find me!
There I stand, with her behind me
Here you are, cool and collected
There I go, through the exit!
Here I am! Come and find me!
There she stands, the one behind me
It's her you'll ask, if she's seen me
While I stand by, listening keenly!
Here I am! Come and find me!
There I stand, a wall behind me
Here you are, straight ahead
There I am, lying....dead.
No Fear
There was a forest
Such a dense forest
That many feared to enter
There were some trees
Such tall trees
That many feared to cut
There were some creatures
Such fierce creatures
That many feared to encounter
There was a man
Such a strong man
That did not fear at all
There was a quest
Such a dangerous quest
That many thought was foolish
There was a reward
Such a reward
That many tried anyway
There was alot of death
Such alot of death
That many more thought twice
There was that man
Such a hard man
That held no fear inside
There was a ruckus
Such a ruckus
That many did not believe
There was talk
So much talk
About the battle the man had fought
There were doubts
So many doubts
That any of his tales were true
But there were pelts
So many pelts
Of such none had ever seen
There was a quarrel
Such a quarrel
Over the amount of said reward
There was skill
So much skill
That many never saw the sword
There was blood
So much blood
That resulted from his single stroke
There was a trial
Such a long trial
That many thought it would never end
There was a sentence
Such a harsh sentence
That many believed unfair
There was a man
Such a strong man
Who was executed for lack of fear...
The Dream
A stormy sky, lightning
There he sits, watching, laughing
Heart racing, blood pounding
I turn away and run
Straight ahead, running
There he sits once more, still laughing
An echo in the mind
Eyes closed, heart breaking
I stop and cry
His love surrounds me, taunting
And yet I fight to drive it away
An impossible fight, no surrender
I cannot win, but will die trying
Remember
Twas long ago, over seven years
And now you're back again
My mind reels with pain
As I look into your eyes
I can see the past
I can see the pain
I can see the love flowing once again
Although I know all I see
Is but a mere reflection of my dreams
It hurts
Like nothing I've ever felt, it hurts
Can you feel my pain?
Can you feel my love?
Do you know who I am?
Do you know who I am?
My life is a mess of twisted confusion
My soul is blackened with despair
Yet, I look to you for love
Knowing it'll never be found
I wonder how you feel
Can you feel my pain?
Can you feel my love?
Do you know who I am?
Do you know who I am?
