Update 06/13/02 Okay, from now on, I'll update the site daily again. Expect an update tomorrow and the next day, this is for real. I'm anxious at the moment because I'll be traveling back to Manila and classes will start next week. I haven't enrolled yet, and we also moved to a different apartment, so I have to fix things up over there. There's an event this coming June 22 and I'm going to attend that event for sure. DJ Runeschadow will be handing over the interview result and discuss a few things concerning the site and what more it can do for the goth scene in Manila. The event is called SHADOWDANCE 2 Club Fluid, Ortigas Center, Meralco Ave. June 22, SAT., featuring DJ Runeschadow and DJ Fleshwounds, 100 at the gate (DJ Runeschadow included me in the guestlist, so I'm free to enter) GOTHIC, DARKWAVE, EBM, INDUSTRIAL.

Hello Gerard,
here's the final news on the book, which includes the review of your site:

GOTH IN ASIA
http://gothinasia.cjb.net
Gerard Bumanglag runs this and it isn’t fully developed yet but it will be essential, because we all need a site about Goth in Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines etc. Should be properly operational by start of 2002, but meantime he already has pics being submitted from Japan, Korea, Singapore etc, with reports from the Philippines, good links starting, along with profiles. If you have an interest in Goth overall you really need to check this out. Good band stuff is appearing already.

Details:
Hello,
My 4th book on Goth, ‘21st Century Goth’, comes out on May 1st, and it makes sense to order online through Amazon not just because you save money but it ensures you get a copy quick. When Amazon send through their advance orders to the publisher they will get dealt with first. Can you please use this info in a news item?
You can get it for $17.47 at:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1903111285/qid=1019671653/sr=8-1/ref=sr _8_1_1/102-0700630-4754551

or

http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/1903111285/ref=sr_aps_d_1_2/249-08586 01-6587536

So…to the details.

This is my fourth book about Goth, and easily the biggest, and the best, being 276 pages, with 174 photos, including 20 *stunning* full-page photos. This book concentrates on what is on the Net that is Goth-related, and breaks it down into sections – but not into geographical boundaries like my last book.
It is a huge resource (50,000 words longer than ‘Hex Files’), as I have looked for things which are of use but also the very best of everything else I found. For every site included many more boring ones have been ignored.
5,517 sites are reviewed or listed within the sections. The contents are as follows:
Bands (960 reviewed - 982 listed/categorised), Clothes/Goth-related Businesses (371 r - 34 c), Clubs (159 - 60) Goth People (709 - 404), Goth sites (285 - 108), Locations (241 - 124), Resources (44 - 47), Zines (192 - 27), Webrings (47 - 76), Visual Rock (33 - 31), Sites Of Interest - which contains much weird material (417 – 166).

If anyone has a site, or belongs to mailing lists, please circulate this info if you can. If this book does well I can do one every year/18 months.
Obviously I am contacting sites I have reviewed or listed in the book. I can send you a jpeg of the beautiful cover to the book if you like? If you want to do an interview please send questions. (I can only read, and reply in English!)

Cheers!
