Formed in 1999, Five Wounds to Enter boasts of members with extensive experience from their former bands playing either death/thrash/metal or progressive rock. Originally a six member ensemble: Francis on vocals, Sam on keyboards, Roel and Jun on guitars, Jon on bass and Mario on drums; the group later wooed Wowi, formerly of Iconoclast to do unholy percussion abuse. Due to health reasons, Jun had to leave the group and was replaced by Joel from Scum and Solitude. Infuences include the Sisters of Mercy, Dead Can Dance, Paradise Lost, Tiamat, the Mission UK among countless others.
